• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Swaybar accolades

Thank you for your input. Nothing is worn or broken. It only has a few thousand miles. The Elkos have no preload setting. I have them set the way they were sent to me. I have had the machine to the shop 3 times for steering alignment. No help. I have little faith in the local BRP...

    Swaybar accolades

Swaybar I was wondering how you swaybar enthusiasts would respond to an RT that tries to kill me each time I ride it. I put Elkos in front and that helped a lot. Anytime a gust of wind hits me, whether natural or semi, it is all I can do to keep the thing on the road. It happened again just...

    WA St ferry increases

Howdy: This note will be of little use to anyone outside the Puget sound area. I just got back from my yearly ride and found that not only have fares doubled, there is now a $3.80 charge on top of the motorcycle fare because I have 3 wheels. I don't expect to ride for free, but having to pay...

How many of you would buy a new RTS right now, if it came out with a bigger engine?

drumming I just got back from a 825 mile ride from Sat. to today. Sorry I missed the 24 window. In any event, put another in the "would buy new one if more power" column. I don't think power could be increased without addressing the belt engineering or going to a shaft. If I lived in the...

PARKING PERMITS FOR ALL THREE WHEEL AND TWO WHEEL. MOTORCYCLES

Placards I had a handicapped placard stolen off my Spyder. This ticked me off so I went to DOL and found out that WA will issue a motorcycle sized license plate. Shazam! 5 weeks to get it but I don't have to worry much about theft. I suppose someone could still steal the plate, but the...

3-wheel motorcycle endorsement driving me nuts!

Endrosement Yes, WA is one of the states that requires a 3 wheel endorsement. I too flunked my written the first time as I have been riding for more than 40 years and thought it would be easy. After the flunk, I got the manual and memorized it. The reason for my first failure is that the...

    Expectation on Analog Temp Gauge

Blanks Yes, they do make such a thing. Mine came with blanks on both sides. They now are just lying in the garage. I don't suppose you get by here much. Surely somebody local to you, or the shop, has a pair. They just snap in.

    Expectation on Analog Temp Gauge

Temps I got tired of "guessing" what the temps might be so I put in an aftermarket temp gauge. Short of pulling into a high-tech research lab, I've given up on getting the exact temps. I will say that at least I can read the aftermarket unit and the temps are close to what my infrared gauge...

    carry a pistol?

carrying Interesting that this topic would come up today. I live in a subdivision with 10 acre minimum lots. So, it's rural. The lady two doors down (about 1,500 yds) came by yesterday and asked about an incident the nite before where somebody came pounding on her door at 2:30AM. She...

    Oil level, what the heck!

oIL Seems like every time I go bye the shop, they've changed their minds about which BRP oil to use. The blend or the pure synth? I am just aking wild guesses as to what the dipstick says as it is so garbled up (foam?) I can't tell where the level is. I have just been trying to get the...

How to deal with the heat???

Heat It has been in the high 90s here recently and I once rode through Stockton CA when it was near 110. I found a vest that works great for ryders. It was originally developed for firemen. The vest holds packs in the front and the back. The pack is filled with a non-toxic phase change...

    Utopia info?

Thanks! I will tell them to go ahead and ship it.

    Utopia info?

I was completing an order for a backrest when I started to wonder: Does the weight of the backrest cause problems with the seat staying open when fueling? Anybody have the Utopia? I had a Utopia on my GW for years. It worked fine but the seat did not raise on the GW... the RT is obviously...

Yes MB is asking a "shop/tech" Question: Tire wear

Patience Hi MB, congrats on the successful trip. I don't wish to rain on your parade as I am aware you like the tech at the bike place you often use over here. As you know I had terrible handling problems and finally took the RT to the dealer and told them to make it right or keep it. After...
