• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone have directions on how to install a Drive Belt on a 2016 F3T??

The basic process: Remove the brake caliper and suspend with a bungee cord, tarp strap or cord to protect the brake line and parking brake cable Remove the Drive Sprocket Cover Depending on model and exhaust, you may need to remove the secondary muffler Loosen rear wheel axle, removing the nut...

May be old news to some, but the 2024/25 starting procedure doesn't need you to wait for the display safety stuff...

This is an F3-related thread, hence it applies only to the 1330 F3 models. From 2015 and on, in the F3 series, one doesn't have to wait through the Safety display. Simply turn the key "On", hit the "Mode" button, then the "Starter". Just in case: the Frunk can be opened with the engine running...

Do you use Color Correct O-rings?

Color of an o-ring indicates the material it is made of, not just an aesthetic. (https://knowledge.callapg.com/blog/oring-colors) That stated, they all sit in the same oil bath and temperature. Pressure might be slightly difference dependent but they are not in the pressurized oil distribution...

2015 F3S Oil Pump Failure, replaced, engine still ticking - any ideas on what component/s might have been damaged?

I worked on Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki motorcycles (a long time ago). When oil pressure failures occurred due to pump failure, filter blockage, gasket failures, etc., a lot of damage can happen in a short time period. They were all overhead cam engines: the camshaft and lifters were assuredly...

What Rear Tire Size is needed to correct the speedo?

In addition to ColemanJ table and Pete Aawan's explanation, tire wear can account for up to 2% change in speedo/odometer indications. Pete included in his description of the many variables: it's the rolling diameter that impacts accuracy. If you have a heavy load (big person, 2-up, lot's of...

    Blue Light Special Anyone?

In my boast, I forgot to say thank you for your report! It wasn't just a story, it was true. It's funny how life experiences play out: if one planned it that way, it wouldn't have worked out that way.

    Blue Light Special Anyone?

We were on a Road Warrior Foundation ride from Austin, TX, to Charleston, SC. If memory serves me correctly, it was near the MS/AL border and we picked up a Law Enforcement Escort nearly to Birmingham. I was riding sweep/tail gunner. I've never ridden so long with blue lights flashing in my...

HowTo: Setting the front tire pressures equally each side.

If one is that concerned about tire pressure, make sure you: never attempt to add air once the machine has been ridden even a short distance never set the pressures on a sunny day and your Spyder is outside: the solar gain on the side in the sun will make a difference when the tires all come up...

Wrapping/striping a frunk with matte or denim paint - Results?

Off topic, but relative. The paint was so rough on SpyderDeb's '23 F3-L SS, that it would catch fibers in a microfiber cloth when cleaning. She opted for a full body paint, which was a pain and carried more expense than a wrap. Aaron B. Smith, BSM Paintworks, Weatherford, TX, did a great job on...

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

Follow up: overall, I'd give the mechanic an "A" on the job, an easy 96-98% of perfection. My bike has a lot of aftermarket lighting, air horns, etc.: I'm sure that slowed done the overall task of remove/replace the engine/transmission assembly. Although I tried to route wires following existing...

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

I picked my completed 2018 F3-T this afternoon from Ride Now Powersports, Weatherford, TX. Mine was their second one to be completed. The Spyder was there 2 1/2 weeks, but the mechanic took off 3 days for family emergency in the middle of the work. Drive belt was aligned but extremely tight...

Does anyone know the 2021 F3S Fox Podium Shock (Front) Preload Adj. Spanner wrench size? Suppliers?

I got mine at Bob's Cycles, when we lived close to the store location. I then modified them by cutting down the length as space is very limited to get at the adjusters with the shocks on the machine. The first time I tried to adjust the preload, the jamb nuts were too tight to get them loose in...

    I am now Spyderless

Time and life marches onward. We appreciate your insight, and humor (even though some Yanks take longer than others to "get it"). It's a good thing to keep that hard-to-find gear: one never knows when the urge may exceed the pain to get back on! BTW, from what I understand, you're never...

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

Thank you for posting, and not burying, the service bulletins. As I own one of the machines and the F3-T is under the mileage limit, it is important to have the service bulletin information before going into my local dealer.
