• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    New Owner of SpyderLovers.com 02-19-2026

This board was everything when I purchased my first Spyder (or motorcycle of any kind) back in 2012, and it made such a huge difference in my experience, and this continues to be a site I visit, learn from, and enjoy several times a week. Lamonster, you have my deep appreciation and best...

How Many Ride an RT Limited After The 5 years Of BRP Warranty Has Expired?

I would continue to ride it - and perhaps sell near the end of the 10 year window, very much depending on if you can still get it repaired or not in your area. Yes, something can always go wrong, but generally speaking maintenance is always far less expensive than purchasing new, and the...

I have a dead 2023 RT, no electrics except lights - any thoughts?

    Very likely your battery.

Pre 2020 RT owners - can you stand up while riding?

Yes, but NEVER BRAKE when standing, not even a little bit. It's best to stand on a straightaway with plenty of space around you to give you time to sit down to slow down or make more than a sweeping turn. This is true of every RT.

Learning to ride this bike: my progress so far

I have to disagree with Baxter - the Baja Ron swayer is a must - it will change your ride.

Windshield Curious - anyone know the reasons for making it 2 piece? So narrow?

My first time testing an F3 led me to get the very small windshield for my RT and to add an X-Creen to push more air in my direction. So, instead of riding through a hot summer (with a so-called Vented Windshield that only took some of the edge off at best), I was in the wind and loved the...

There really are no alternatives to the Can Am reverse trikes

The thing about the T-Rex is that it is a three wheeled car (you sit in a seat, side-by-side, and use a steering wheel), not a three wheeled motorcycle. Nothing wrong with that, but not at all like a Spyder aside from the wheel count and the legal definition similarities...

Does anybody use a GPS Tracking device for monitoring their Spyder's location?

AirTag, but it's probably most useful if I forget where I parked it!

    2025 Motorcycle of the Year

That took some real balls - the comments are almost all angry, because, well, insecurity needs to express itself. I'm impressed with the selection!

Pros and Cons on pre ordering a 2026 RT?

I'd find out how tariff changes may move the needle if those numbers change between now and delivery, what you are and are not committed to, what they are committed to, and refund options.

RT 2020 vs 2024 - Is the ride different?

No question the anti-sway bar is game changer, and the shocks can also make a big difference for a lot of riders, but in this case I'm wondering about a stock apples-to-apples comparison between the years. I could easily see that just the sway bar difference could account for their experience...

CarPlay Froze, then entire Head Unit Froze Up While Riding, then supposedly updated and rebooted on the Highway - Anyone else had this happen?

Guessing here - something failed in the software and it autoupdated to the latest version so it could keep working. That would seem way over the pay grade of the system, given how many basic issues it has connecting, but perhaps this was a failsafe of some kind. I think this is possible...

RT 2020 vs 2024 - Is the ride different?

I was talking with another Spyder rider who strongly feels there was an upgrade to the feel of the ride between my 2020 and their 2024 (or perhaps it was a 2023). Both are RTs. Wondering what others have experienced if you've actually spent time on the newer and older RTs since 2020 when the...

What can I do with my iPhone connected to the Spyder through the BRP Go app?

I have a 2020 and find just using my phone mounted in easy view and not struggling with the inconsistent connection, limited apps, and bad design of the interface is stable, and offers far more flexibility.

Getting close to decision time. I need some input from those who have ridden an F3-L and RTL?

Consider renting both for a day and seeing how they feel to you - even if they aren't quite set up of your height I'm sure that you'll still have the best insight from experience, and the cost is low compared with making the wrong purchase, even with a drive and a hotel night or two...
