• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Did oil change & checked level properly; NO oil showing on dip stick - any ideas?

Need some help, friends. Just changed the oil in my 2018 Spyder F3-S. Owner's manual explains the entire oil check routine which I followed to the letter. Owner's manual also says that my bike requires 5 US quarts with just an oil and filter change. After the oil change, I went far a test ride...

Replaced Rear tire, now have multiple fault codes! Need some advice.

Thank you Woodaddict! After sending in my post I started thinking and wondered if that might be the very reason. I had my rear wheel in the air to check the rear brake before I put it on the road and knowing how VSS is supposed to work I should have know better. I would almost think it will...

Is there a Code Reader for the Spyder?

Is there anyone who sells anything similar to an OBDII code reader for a Can Am? Excellent bike and very fun, but I can't believe Can Am is so anal that they won't let anyone sell a code reader for their bike others that the BUDS!

Replaced Rear tire, now have multiple fault codes! Need some advice.

Multiple Error Code After Rear Wheel Removal I just finished removing, and reinstalling, my real wheel to install a new tire, new EBC brake disk, and new brake pads. All parts went back on in the reverse order of removal. After finishing and test startup I had several faults that I had never...

Cannot get the rear pulley to seat properly - any ideas?

Thanks for the heads up on on your torque specs. I'm riding a 2018 Spyder F3-S. Not sure why that would make any difference but with what I've seen from Can Am I'm not surprised.

Cannot get the rear pulley to seat properly - any ideas?

Per my 2018 service manual the expected torque is 177 lb ft, with no plus or minus listed. I still don't think I'm going that far.

Cannot get the rear pulley to seat properly - any ideas?

I appreciate all the replies to my question. Yes, I did lube the O-ring and the mating surfaces. I finally got it to mate after doing what I read somewhere about rocking the pulley back and forth as you apply pressure. Finally got the wheel back on the bike. Torquing that rear axle nut to...

Cannot get the rear pulley to seat properly - any ideas?

I have my new tire on, brake disk, and reluctor ring installed, but now I can't get the rear pulley to seat properly. I have a new O-ring oiled, and ready to install the pulley. Pulley will not seat completely. I've even greased the cush rubbers slightly to better slide the pulley onto the...

Anyone got a valid reason for the High Torque settings on the brake rotor?

Thanks to all that responded. I feel the same way as you do. I'll just use my experience and do what I think is right.

Anyone got a valid reason for the High Torque settings on the brake rotor?

Mikey, Common sense. I like that. Thanks for the reply and your common-sense approach to a questionable specification. I'm going to do the same thing. It hasn't let me down all of these years and I don't think it will do so now. Still, it is comforting to know others look at a problem the same...

Anyone got a valid reason for the High Torque settings on the brake rotor?

I apologize beforehand if this question has been asked before. But I'm looking more for an explanation than general specs. I've worked on bikes for many years and have a number of friends who are bike mechanics, including one who has worked on bikes for 40 years. Nearly everyone I've asked...

Rear wheel removal - can't get the brake caliper off or remove axle - help??

Thanks for the info. I think my rear pads are good but will recheck them when I get home. As far as the caliper I tried to push the pads back in a bit but that didn't work. If I have to, I'll pull the pads to check them. I know I should be able to slide the caliper down and off the disk at that...

Rear wheel removal - can't get the brake caliper off or remove axle - help??

Just started removing rear wheel to have a new tire installed. Reached the point of jacking the rear so I could get most of the weight off the rear tire. 2 problems: 1. I couldn't get brake caliper to slide off the disc. I have made sure the parking brake is released so I know that isn't the...

Hello All! Nice to be here folks. Just bought my Spyder, 2018 F3-S, after years on Harleys.
