• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Something very simple and easy to check (especially the frunk) is the runner gasket that goes around the opening. If that get popped up, the lid will have a hard time to latch.

    Big shout-out to AY4B for bringing this to our attention. Checked my RR tensioner and found roller detached from one bearing and coming apart on one side. Would soon have caused belt damage for sure. Removed it yesterday and will throw it away - not worth the worry of a roller on my belt. 18...

    Just a thought - you might check parking brake cable at rear wheel to make sure it is not adjusted too tightly. Very easy to check.

    BIGMO My 2018 RTL is acting exactly like yours. Will not shift into neutral and refuses to go into reverse. Forward gears are fine. Getting worse all the time. Anxious to hear what your dealer has to say. Can't take mine to dealer now because of upcoming trip (not on spyder).

    Not too far from Gainesville is West Coast Powersports in Clearwater. Their staff is first rate and Jason is the best tech around (IMO). Very knowledgeable. competent and caring. Very personable also. I highly recommend this dealership. I have purchased 3 Spyder RT's from them.

    BRP Connect and Genius Maps on 2018 RT Limited

    To answer both your questions - you can program destination both ways, but much easier to do it on phone before connecting. Second, mine came with a card in instruction packet where i could sent it in for a rebate of the purchases connected to Genius Maps. Hope this helps you out.

    Android with BRP Connect -- Overheating

    I have the same problem using the same phone and Genius Maps. Plus it seems to drain battery instead of charging it. I'm giving BRP Connect very low marks. It doesn't seem to work very well and is quite difficult to navigate through. I hope someone can shed light on our difficulties.

    This sounds very much like drive belt vibration. I recommend the belt vibration dampener sold by Doc Humphreys at Roadster Renovations (A sponsor on home page). Works great for me.

    2018 Dash Software Update

    My phone is Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the 30K can be paired to only one unit, so I pair only to the Spyder and make any changes to the 30k by connecting to my computer. There is not much to control on the 30K once you have it configured the way you want, so pairing to phone is unnecessary IMHO.

    This vibration seems to occur in most cases between 70 and 75 mph. If your belt doesn't vibrate around those speeds, then you have no need for this damper. Be happy and enjoy.

    I suspect you need the updated version 12.2 that your dealer can install. Fixed that problem on my 18 RTLtd. You can check your version by going to settings then down to the bottom where it says "About". If your version number is below 12.2, get it updated and that problem will be resolved...
