• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Hi-lift jack Harbor Freight

The tie downs are tight. They are very long and have long tails. I think there is one from the Spyder frame to the lifting part of the frame and one from the subframe by the oil cooler to the base of the frame.

    Hi-lift jack Harbor Freight

It is rated for 1100 lbs and the arms are pretty stout, but the Spyder is longer and wider than it is really designed for. I never did see the arms on the floor come up at all like it was tipping. It does lock in the full up position. You don't want the Spyder tipping off, so getting it well...

    Hi-lift jack Harbor Freight

If you look in the second picture you can see two tie down straps holding the Spyder to the jack. I also left a jack stand under the rear tire if it was on.

    Hi-lift jack Harbor Freight

It has been a while, but I think I did have to take the floorboard off on the jack side. You do have to make sure you get it in a good spot to balance. I had all three wheels on and off at different points. Just go slow at adding or taking off weight. I did add jack stands to different points...

    Hi-lift jack Harbor Freight

I have both. I use the high lift on big jobs to save my back. I had to buy some square tubing to extend the arms and use some wood spacers at the frame points to level it. Once I get it in the air I do brace up the far side to make it more stable. It is pretty wobbly otherwise. As you can see I...

Does my 2018 F3 Ltd have a Backup Beeper?

They make back up lights that also beep. All you have to do is replace the back up bulbs. Search on Amazon. They also have stand alone beepers that you tie into the wiring for the back up lights.

    Handle bar riser?

I don't know of an off the self riser but I think you can just use a 2" block of aluminum and drill 4 holes in it. You will need longer metric socket head cap screws. Be sure and Loctite them in place. The hardest part would be getting the original bolts out.

    Clutch

My question is, what do you mean when you say, "when the engine gets to operating temp the clutch dies"? When you pull in on the clutch lever does it do nothing, meaning the clutch doesn't disengage the engine from the transmission. Does it mean that the clutch acts like the clutch lever is...

    New Dealer in Topeka

I haven't had it aligned since I replaced the A-arm bushings. I am thinking about riding to Lamonster garage and have them do it. Then ride around the Ozarks for a while. Just waiting for some good weather.

Here is my story with Marine World. I wouldn't recommend them. https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?115905-What-happened-when-I-took-the-Spyder-in-for-and-alignment

Test pilot experience Baja Ron new NGK Iridium IX spark plugs 2015 F3-S SE6 Spyder

The think the OP stated that he used the .032 pre-gapped plugs. What are the OEM plugs gapped at? With wear, the gap increases. It would be very hard to get a perfect apples to apples comparison. Did he also change out the plug wires at the same time? I still think it shows that it is a good...

Maintenance Costs - $2k for 12,000 mile service!! Does this sound right??

Just say no! They should only charge $800 max to check the valves. There is no need to check them. I just bought an 2013 RTS last fall with 23000 miles. I checked my valves this winter but only because the valves covers were leaking. The valve checked right in the middle of the range. The...

    Trouble Shooting

Most battery tenders tend to cook batteries over the winter. If your battery is bad that is probably what happened. Try using a CTEK charger that is made for AMG batteries. If you live in a very cold climate they make one called polar.
