• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Converting a 2013rt to a 2014rt

Has anyone given any thought to converting a 2013 to a 2014 rt. I wondering if we bought the parts for a new frunk and the new radiators if they would fit on a 2013rt thus relieving the heat problems. Naturally, this would be spendy but whole lot less than taking the hit on selling our current...

Hooking up heated gloves to Fuze Block

I cheated. I just installed a 12v cigarette lighter jack near my handle bars. In the winter I plug in not only my gloves but my heated jacket as well. Other times I used it drive other electronics.

    HOT OR NOT

Different spyders seem to run at different temps. My 2011 no major heat problems (same riding gear) my new 2013 way hotter. My dealer actually took a temperature gun to it while it parked out from the exhaust heat was 174 degrees. ( and that was after it cooled a bit). You will feel that no...

New discovery on 2013 heat issue. Your going to want to read this

Perhaps this picture will help note where the front of the bike is and the engine placement. The heat shield in this photo is to the right top corner. As you can see, a good part of the engine resides in front and below the heat shield.

New discovery on 2013 heat issue. Your going to want to read this

Oh, I'm not claiming this will get rid of any codes and frankly I have had to do other heat modifications on my bike as well. This one mod though has massively dropped the amount of heat that is coming up through and in front of my seat. I'm just waiting for another hot day to give it a full...

New discovery on 2013 heat issue. Your going to want to read this

Hello all, I am the proud owner of a 2013RT since Jan. I have been working with my dealer for the last 7.5 months trying to solve all my heat issues. Fyi, I previously owned a 2012 and was able solve my heat issues with a spyder pop block off plate. For this post im going to concentrate on...

    Hot foot problem

I have been struggling with this issue for awhile and think I have a workable solution finally. Fyi, not only do the floorboards make you experience the heat more I believe the 2013 actually put out more heat. I'm comparing it to my previous 2011rt, with my feet on my NPV there is way more...

2013 RT hot foot even with block off plate

Almost all of my heat was coming out of the lower port. Blocking the upper port did very little, something has definitely changed in how the heat is exchanged. (could be the size of the exit ports, the fan and or its angle, or some other item) It could be many things but the end results is more...

2013 RT hot foot even with block off plate

Looks like we are blazing new trails on this one. I have been trying different things to resolve the issue. FYI on the new fy13RTs this problem stands out more because of the foot boards. At least for me it tends to make me have my feet further forward than with the foot pegs. Anyway, I made...

2013 RT hot foot even with block off plate

Ok here is a question being a former owner of a 2011 rt I had block plate and a hole in the bottom of the compartment to let hot air out, it work fairly well. Now my new 2013 it tried it without the block off plate still to much hot air, added the block off plate and still had to much hot air...

Give us feedback on your new 2013's - the good, the bad and the ugly

I have a 2013 RT Blue I have a 2013 RT with ELKAs and freshly done ball joints and alignment. Wow it turns on a dime compared to my 2011 with the same setup, I can definitely pull more G's in a turn without feeling like i'm going to lose it. I did switch out to the ultimate seat and that was...

Windshield Extension for us taller types. Anyone tried one? thoughts?

Hello fellow spyder riders. I have a long torso and am looking for a higher windshield. Currently 25" seems to be the tallest I can find for my RT. However, I saw a windshield extension sold by twisted throttle...
