• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Must power plugs always be hot?

There must be an easier way! Both of my 12v power plugs are wired to the factory harness hot 24/7. Since the wires are already there couldn't they be moved to a circuit that is switched? Sure would be one heck of a convenience. Now I have to turn each camera on and off every time I start or...

Must power plugs always be hot?

Both of mine are hot 24/7 Hi Billy, thanks for your reply. I've added 2 dash cams to my 2012 RT ltd & replaced the batteries with capacators so that they will switch on when power is applied and off when I switch power off. Could you offer any suggestion as to how to make my frunk and trunk...

Must power plugs always be hot?

When I bought my 2012 Spyder RT Ltd I had the dealer install 12v power outlets in the frunk and the back compartment on the side opposite the ipod plug. It appears that they are both "hot" all the time and I want to configure dash cameras (front and back) using capacitors as the only power...

Won't start after short ride, is it a heat related issue? 90 days and counting!

After getting it home I started and stopped it a dozen times with no problem. Got it up to operating temp - still couldn't duplicate "won't start". - tomorrow I'. Try shutting down in neutral to see if that helps. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Click Click, will not start! still after 90 days!

Happy Ending via Columbia Powersports and Can-Am Last Friday Can-Am agreed to warranty the starter and Columbia Powersports (Chris) got it and installed it this morning - After all this they even comped the $50.00 Best PLUSS warranty deductible. The new starter sounds quite different - seems...

Click Click, will not start! still after 90 days!

Are there any electrical engineers out here? On May 28th I got the "click click click - won't start" from my 2012 Spyder RT LTD and thus began three months of not being able to use my machine and still today it's in the dealer's shop awaiting a starter. Now they say after a new battery and...

Need help choosing communications system for a couple of 80 year old riders.

I've been trying for two years to get My 2012 RT Ltd complete CB AM/FR stock wired communication system to work so that my wife and I can converse while riding. I have to be very attuned to her wants and needs as we are both in our early 80s and we are own best friends. Although my Spyder has...

2012 RT LTD clicks but won't start

One more observation about my 2012 RT Ltd not starting. The next day (after dealer found ground wire to the oil tank loose) I rode for 100 Miles to Ricky Clayborn's house for his laser alignment and back home only to hear the clicking sound once more the next morning. I had forgotten to plug...

2012 RT LTD clicks but won't start

Ground wire to oil tank? My dealer's tech says the ground wire on the oil tank was loose. Now runs as designed. Dealer covered under warranty. Happy to ride again!

    Chassis ground come loose?????

Ground - chassis? If the main ground (under the seat) were loose causing the starter not to work, would that not also cause some of the other items not to work ie the console, the acc plugs, etc. Everything else was working. Could it be that the starter itself was not grounded to the chassis?
