• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

270 Miles on My Ryker Yesterday!

Is the sway bar something an average mechanic can install or should it be left to the dealer?

Questions from a Soon to be Ryker owner

Looking at the 900 Rally. Just waiting on the dealer to crunch the numbers for me. Trading in a RT Se5. Hopefully in a couple days Ill be riding a Ryker! I test rode one a few weeks back and loved it, but do see where the windscreen is a must have for me anyway. Going with black as well, figured...

    2011 RT Throttle Bodies

Thanks I will check them out. I contacted someone Friday that had the drawing of the throttle body with the individual parts listed, but not the TPS. He said he didn't think it could be purchased separately though.

    2011 RT Throttle Bodies

I am not sure of the purpose of this reply. I have been in contact with the dealer every two weeks for almost a year now. I have emailed BRP twice, still not fixed!

    Motorcycles don't wave back.

Candoman, if you had to choose, would you stick with the burgman or the spyder?

From my understanding the gentlemen that owned our bike before us never had many problems with it. We bought it and it was all down hill from there. It does have 44,000 miles on it though, just not sure of their longevity.

You are right about that 2dogs;) We are looking at all options now, thinking about waiting to see how the new 2018 Gold Wings with the DCT fares.

It would be nice if they would do that DGoebel, but a couple times now we've been in there to pick ours up and they had just sold one that was traded in, without calling us about having one when we asked them to let us know. Don't think they want this bike back since no one can figure out the...

    2011 RT Throttle Bodies

Can the TPS cause a p0174 code? Replaced everything else, don't know what else to do. Doesn't seem like BRP or the dealer knows either, all they want to do is keep throwing parts at it in the hopes that takes care of it. I was thinking throttle body issues, but not getting the throttle body...

Glad that yours was finally figured out. It sad because My wife and I were hoping to move up to a different model, but I to have lost respect for the system that is in place with BRP and the dealerships for them. There maybe some good ones out there, but I haven't found one yet. Thinking of just...

I know how you feel To start with I believe that the issue with the p0174 code on 2011 RtSE5 spyders is in MHO not an isolated incidence. I believe this is a on going major issue. My wife and I purchased a 2011 RTSE5 in July 2017 from a local dealer who specializes in Spyders. They have a...

    P0174 code and check engine

Pulling out my hair Update on my 20011 RTSE5 Two weeks after the dealer changed out the purge valve I was riding in 4th gear at 55 mph and the bike hesitated and the check engine light came on. The R and N lights were flashing on and off and there was a E in the area where it tells you what...

    Check engine light- P0174

P0174 Got my bike back Saturday, rode about 80 miles yesterday, so far so good. So far new evap canister a month ago, and purge valve this time. I noticed now after riding it and shutting it off I have a strong fuel smell for about an hour or so, not sure if this is normal or not. They checked...
