• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2008 Givi racks

Here's what a set of givi bag mounts look like for the RS/GS. Note the one mount has a triangular piece missing (piece shown in first pic). They're pretty much PLX Givi mounts with a couple modification to fit the spyder. I got these mounts off ebay from a motorcycle parts wrecker.

    2008 Givi racks

If you're looking for Givi saddlebag mounts to fit the RS and GS models, here are the instructions for installation. The mounts are for PLX Givi type bags. Look at the number 3 part in second attachment to see what mount looks like.

    Evoluzion air filter

Here's what I did. I purchased the bottom half of an air box from ebay. (See picture) You can find these reasonably priced. Cut out the part with the tubes that mounts over the throttle bodies. I shortened the air box tubes and slipped the above air filter into them. The air box tubes are...

RIVCO Highway Bars and Floorboards (HWY Bars are available)

Krakum, how did the rivco floorboards work with your brake and gearshift? Pictures I've seen, show the pedals about midpoint on the board, which I think, would make it awkward to brake and shift.

    RS Spyder Floorboards

Nokesy, those look a lot like the Rivco floorboards. Interesting that you had to modify them. I was considering the Rivco system, but they are pricey. Are they sturdy? Can you stand on them? Hate the idea that they may need modified, given the price.

    RS Spyder Floorboards

bmccaffrey, just looked on their site and saw your floorboards. Very interesting, definitely idea inspiring. One question. In your design is the forward mount of the floorboard a clip over the OEM cast footpeg bracket? If so, was there any deflection in the board when you put weight on it...

    RS Spyder Floorboards

Been thinking about adding floorboards to my 2014 Spyder RS with SM5 transmission. Has anyone added floorboards to their RS and what did you think of them afterward? Improvement or not? What brand did you go with? The only brand that currently offers floorboards for the RS, at least that I've...

    Laser alignment

Haikanko, can you share what the correct toe in is? From my calculations based on what was said in another post, the toe in should be approximately 48-50 minutes, less than 1 degree.

    Laser alignment

Here is the definition of a delta angle - It is the measurement in degrees where two straight lines, also known as tangents, intersect. If you don't mind cptjam, can you explain this some more? I can understand if it were the delta angle between the tangents of the front wheels, but measuring...

    Laser alignment

This is what I found when I googled Thrust Angle: On a solid rear axle vehicle, a thrust angle alignment allows the technician to confirm that all four wheels are "square" with each other. Thrust angle alignments also identify vehicles that would "dog track" going down the road with the rear...

    Laser alignment

What do you guys/gals think of this laser alignment tool? It only checks toe alignment, but isn't that all you need with the spyder? My thought is as long as your drive belt is properly set the back wheel should be square/aligned with the frame. Hence there would not be a need to do measurements...

    Retro-Fitting OEM Heated Grips

My 2014 RS, SM5 currently does not have heated grips. I've been considering installing OEM heated grips, but first would like to know if my 2014 wiring harness has the blank (open) plugs already there so that the retro-fit is pretty much a plugin and go. Been looking at the ST grips with the...

    Saddlebag Mounts

I've noticed a lot of nice early model Spyder GS, RS and ST's with Givi saddlebags mounted on them. Were there at one time aftermarket mounts for the Spyder to add Givi bags? And if so, where would you find them now? I've seen the ones offered on eb@y, but don't like the idea of multiple flat...
