• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2024 RT Limited 'Suspension Fault' messages flashing on the screen - suspension compressor or no?

I agree to a point. I’m not afraid of doing the work myself, but from what I understand, the ride height has to be set at the dealership - or at least should have been when they did the pre-delivery set up.

2024 RT Limited 'Suspension Fault' messages flashing on the screen - suspension compressor or no?

Thanks Mikey, I did look under the left side and saw the link just hanging in the breeze. To me, from what I saw, it looks like it was never hooked up to begin with. Back to the dealer on Tuesday.

2024 RT Limited 'Suspension Fault' messages flashing on the screen - suspension compressor or no?

Thanks Troop. I'll have a peek here shortly... I still don't understand the need for the Schrader valve or why the dealer was extremely clear about setting it manually for load.

2024 RT Limited 'Suspension Fault' messages flashing on the screen - suspension compressor or no?

For the life of me I can't wrap my head around the rear suspension. To begin with I'm getting 'Suspension Fault' messages - only at highway speeds on smooth ground. These come and go seemingly at will. They flash on the screen and the little shock icon and exclamation point are also displayed...

What just happened? Two weeks old: Engine shut down, VSS Error.

Throttle function has never been an issue. The throttle position sensor is used to monitor the throttle body valve position, not the physical throttle itself. I don't know what vintage your machine is but these machines are now Ride By Wire there is no direct mechanical connection between the...

What just happened? Two weeks old: Engine shut down, VSS Error.

Ron, that's a question I can't honestly answer. I do know with 100% certainty that they did replace the original with a Yuasa. Apparently one of the other techs they were talking to was aware of a switch cluster issue but those symptoms couldn't be replicated on my machine. While I was on the...

What just happened? Two weeks old: Engine shut down, VSS Error.

I just returned from my tour... it was shorter than planned but I still managed a good 2000 miles. During the trip I had no issues at all with what I had been experiencing... but now I'm reading threads about suspension faults. Wish me luck.

What just happened? Two weeks old: Engine shut down, VSS Error.

The Spyder is back in my hands. The dealer said they were in contact with reps from France, Belgium, Quebec. They did a bunch of testing and found that my Throttle Position Sensor was way out of whack and reset it. I didn't ride it too much over the last couple of days but didn't have any...

What just happened? Two weeks old: Engine shut down, VSS Error.

I received a text from the dealer, apparently they’ve been on the phone with the case rep for most of the morning and will be trouble shooting in the afternoon.

Let’s have another update just for the fun of it! I got to the dealership just as they were opening. Fortunately I was able to replicate the problem in the parking lot. The tech came out and hooked up the computer and found…. Nothing :( He did think it was either the ecm or the switch cluster...

Thanks for explaining the switch operation... that's probably caused some confusion for readers/posters who haven't seen the newest iteration. I'm off to the dealer this morning, I'm going to try and replicate things in their parking lot. And, yes, hopefully it will be simple matter of replacing...

What just happened? Two weeks old: Engine shut down, VSS Error.

More tests, more results! Rolling through my underground parking I thought I'd give it another shot with the kill switch. Lo and behold it died and wouldn't start. When it shut down the screen was still active. I couldn't activate the park brake, but after a few seconds the park brake applied...

What just happened? Two weeks old: Engine shut down, VSS Error.

I did a few rolling tests in my parkade. As every time this has happened to me it's been while rolling to a stop I kept my speeds low (12 - 15 km/h). 1) Quick bump up on the switch to towards the stop position with quick release back to centre/run position. 2) Deliberate switch to the stop...

What just happened? Two weeks old: Engine shut down, VSS Error.

The battery is new, it is fully charged. I won't go into long drawn out details but believe me, I know all about modern motorcycle electronics and batteries. From my experience this is not a battery related issue. As for the kill switch, I'm not opposed to having them. In almost 60 years of...

What just happened? Two weeks old: Engine shut down, VSS Error.

When it happens with me the kill/start switch does nothing. I just tried shutting down and restarting when parked and it worked with the parking brake on or off and in neutral or 1st... I'm going to try some rolling tests here shortly and will post my findings.
