• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

We finally had a decent day here in western Colorado. Temps mid 40’s and sunny, just a slight breeze. Not bad for mid January. My apologies to the middle country and East coast folks in the brrrrrr areas. So Christmas Eve I decided I would go for the Baja Ron sway bar. I liked the option of...

Test rode a new Harley Tri-Glide

Another long time Harley and Goldwing rider. Sold the last Tri Glide due to both shoulders having been repaired (unrelated to the Tri Glide). Thought my riding days were over but a buddy came to town on his Spyder F3 and he let me ride it. The "power steering" was amazing and the search began...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I did get the Lamonster tie downs mounted on the shock bolts and the mirror locks also were installed. Did a short ride and I do believe the mirror "jiggle" is significantly better. They still wiggle a bit over a good bump but for the most part, pretty sweet. The tie downs make for a sweet...

Automated mailed ticket.... But I wasn't there!

When I licensed my new to me truck last May, they told me I needed to get a new plate ($55) because my old plate was too old, and the luminescence wouldn't work for the toll readers. I asked them why I needed to buy the new plate just so they could track me on toll roads when I don't have a...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

My last shoulder surgery, May 31, 2022, was my 25th. Let's just say I might not have been a good steward of my body. Thirteen knee operations including both replaced. The rest range from knife stab to Shark bite (just kidding but it was a great story). The twenty Five does not count three...

How about heated gear - what's your favorite? Any other suggestions?

Always been a fan of the Gerbing gear. But I really didn't like their controller. One of the "techs" at revzilla hooked me up with a First Gear wireless controller that worked great with the Gerbing gear. Made a huge difference ... only had the power cord to deal with.

Looks like it's time to give up the ride - thoughts fm others who've faced this?

I have been where you are ... Last April in fact. Anyway, I traded my TriGlide and older truck in on a 2019 F-150 King Ranch ... all the bells and whistles. Did this cause the right shoulder hated the Tri after the repair. I had a good summer driving the F-150 and even camping. Took the toy...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Good luck with the shoulder. I have had both knees replaced and both shoulders "repaired". Actually ... the knees got me onto three wheels with trikes, and the shoulders (mostly the right one) got me onto a Spider. After the repair (a year) I was cleared to ride the Tri ... 20 miles and I almost...

    Hit a Buck last night...

When I was young I hit a chipmunk on the way down from the top of mount St. Helens (pre blowing its top) and the 65 sporty chopper did not handle the encounter very well. The tiny "bicycle" tire on the 16 over front end just slid to the right and I went down sliding. Even with full leathers on I...

New Can-Am Spyder F3 Limited Owner/Rider Looking for Maintenance Advice.

I just bought a 2019 F3 Limited with 2950 miles on it ... I did the 3000 mile service (myself) and flushed the brake lines. Also check drive belt adjustment and lots of other stuff. Did I really need to? Probably not, but the brake fluid was a given as the stuff tends to stale over 2 years.

Anyone got any Additional Security for their Top Case??

I once worked in a machinery space (protecting the identity some) and when operating certain valves, it was required to torque them on their back seat and front seats. So we needed a torque wrench. As you can imagine, the snap on torque wrenches seemed to be "getting lost". The site manager...

Finally! Take delivery after Labor Day. ECO Mode any good?

I have no idea what kind of fuel mileage these Spyders get. Guessing high 20's to mid 30's. So basically my response to eco mode is why? This is the same why? I ask when the "should I use premium" debate comes up in bikes. We spend a fairly sizable bucket of $$$ for these toys. The...
