• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    BRP 25" Windshield & RoboBracket

Givi with robobracket About a year ago I installed the robobracket with a Givi shield I got off eBay. Worked perfectly; adjusted so I (5'7") have absolutely no buffeting.

    Tent trailers?

Yup, that's me. You will like this trailer; it's been really easy to pull with the Spyder. I also plan on towing it behind my Honda Fit, when I take my grandkids out later this summer. In fact I retire this summer and will be taking this out on trips for as long as I can, and as far as I can...

What do/did you do for a living?

High School Chemistry teacher for 41 years... retiring this June, and then taking some serious Spyder trips around this country!

    MadStad RoboBracket Template

I didn't have to push it into position because of the way I marked the holes. (See previous) The Givi lies nicely against the bracket without any stress against the holes. Because the Givi has a shaded lower portion, it also looks really good, with hardly any part of the bracket showing. I have...

    MadStad RoboBracket Template

I recently mounted a Givi shield on the brackets, and the same thing; didn't have the template. I simply took a piece of graph paper and marked their measurements down from the instruction sheet and used that for my pattern. I punched holes in the paper and then used a Sharpie to put a tiny mark...

USER NAMES/HANDLES - What does yours mean? Where did it come from?

When I turned 50 some years ago, I decided to finally do what I had always wanted to do... to fly. Then, at 55, I decide to begin motorcycling. Since then, I have owned and flown two different types of ultralight aircraft, a VTX 1300, and now my Spyder. (I did have to sell off my ultralight two...

    Tent trailers?

I have the Aspen Sentry by Trailmaster and it's been a really nice trailer; easy to pull with the Spyder and quick to set up. (In fact, my Spyder and trailer is posted in their customer photo section.) I put over 1000 miles pulling it around New England this summer and it worked out nicely.

    Trailer wiring

Same way here. Just tied into the rear signal and brake wires. The only additional thing I did was to change out my trailer bulbs to LED's to reduce current draw on the system. Put over 1000 miles pulling the trailer with no problems at all.

    Need help from trailer pullers

I have that one, have towed a camper for over 1000 miles through New England. I have had no problems whatsoever. My 300 lb Aspen Sentry tracked well behind the Spyder, and I hardly knew it was there. The hitch design allows quick on-off, is built well, and fits the Spyder perfectly. In fact, the...

There's a good chance that I will be able to meet you up there; only about an hour or so from me. Looking forward to a nice piece of homemade pie!

    Owners without problems - Rollcall

2008 SM5 "Premier" #3533 with 11,500 miles. No major problems whatsoever. Some sputtering when hot after 1st update; getting next update with my 12,000 mile check-up. Love my Spyder!

    Rt-622 Trailer

For the many of us who have been pulling trailers with our 2008 Spyders, there is no special wiring for the trailer. I simply tapped into the respective wiring on the Spyder, with no effect whatsoever. The Spyder will recognize a drop in current (burned out bulb) but seems not too concerned with...

    LOVE the Givi X01

Where did you order this from? It looks like something I could certainly use!

That does make sense. I will have a look at that hitch.

    RT Trailer info and vidio

Actually, if so, that "new" design is what MMG has been offering for the Spyder on EBay for the past year. In fact, I have that hitch that attaches to the swing arm and with which I have towed a 300 lb camping trailer (Aspen Sentry) all around New England and the Canadian Maritimes. I have had...
