• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I can only guess you are not a happy camper by the insults you keep throwing! If you took the time to read my original post I did ask … 'has anyone else thought to try it?' … ' You can't fix stupid, but if careful you can minimize it. ' ! Mate …. if you can't make other than derogatory...

Finally got around to finishing the 18x8" front wheel mods ... sweet !

So after a bazillion prototype, revamps for the wheel supports of each mud guard / fender 'trial', the fit finally came to fruition today … Mainly thanks to my two trusty advisers …. \Included is a photo of all the custom pieces which indirectly have caused the many, many hours of tweaking and...

    Using teflon silicone spray ...

IMO … most anything that reduces heat, drag and friction has got to be a good thing (within reason) If in doubt very gingerly try touching your drive belt after a modest run just too see how hot it really does get on a day of mid to average temperatures … you will be amazed … I certainly don't...

Finally got around to finishing the 18x8" front wheel mods ... sweet !

We don't get a choice in Australia … no such thing here as not having fenders / mud guards …. if there not on it, we can't drive or ride it on a public road. Bearings will be no problem providing the wheel alignment is carried out and OK ...

    Using teflon silicone spray ...

Has anyone else thought to use Teflon / silicone spray on their Spyder's drive belt ? I just thought I'd put it out there ! I've been using it on others now the Spyder for the past 6 months and never had any type of problem at all … Simply spray it on …. wipe off the excess … let it sit...

    Engine noise

I used to use it with another vehicle as a sign it was time to do an oil change … Change the filter and oil and up the viscosity slightly and I bet it'll make a world of difference.

What was wrong with the way it was?

Would not surprise me at all if the site has a 'web host' or something similar who decides this stuff and not Lamont these days ..

Finally got around to finishing the 18x8" front wheel mods ... sweet !

Today was all about building 1 pair of custom standoff spacers, made for just the one side of the new guards / fenders mounting / attachment points near the actual wheel hubs. After close inspection, all I could imagine would be yea sure easy enough to just grab a piece of 12mm (1/2") cold...

My left leg and its associated prosthetic has been playing up something shocking for the passed couple of days so I could only get going back on things today, all be it in my wheel chair for the time being. The idea is to fit up the new 250mm / 10" guard (which has to be that wide to...

From the little bit of riding I have done on it since … it feels firm and sure footed … Having said that, I'm hoping to get it in for a wheel alignment earlier this coming week!
