• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Another Thread about Heat And The RTs

I've already said in this thread that I believe you. There's too many witnesses to not believe you. That's why I'm trying to get more input to explain why I (and many others) don't have the problem, and you do. I can only figure that aerodynamically our bikes differ either due to rider position...

Another Thread about Heat And The RTs

Nice facts, but no conclusion. How do you explain the testimony from those who report no heat problems regardless of the ambient temperature? BTW: the Southwest doesn't hold the deed on high temperatures -- it gets hot in the rest of the country, just not as consistently.

Another Thread about Heat And The RTs

After reading several threads discussing the "heat problem" and possible solutions, I have to wonder why some people find it unbearable and other report that they have no problems. After all, everything is the same ... or is it? I don't have any problem with heat even with tennis shoes, but I...

B.E.S.T. warranty does not cover exploding clutch at 13k miles - 2008 RS - Premier Ed

It sounds like we're all riding ticking time bombs So let me get this straight. BRP is claiming that they've designed a clutch that, when it undergoes normal wear and tear, will possibly fail catastrophically and demolish the engine. And that this is a normal, expected occurence that is not...

Is there really a Front trunk light?

One reason might be that you can't lock it.

    NEED SOME MATH HELP

I think there are two problems here. First, at least one of the OP's measurements was inaccurate. If the height was 16 and the width was 15.5, the hypotenuse would be approx 22.27. Second, you really wanted to take the acos, not atan. Cosine is the ratio of the side adjacent to an acute angle...

    OK, here goes .....

I thought these were good questions, but you never got a (public) answer. Could you now give us the benefit of your experience and answer your own questions?

I was gonna stir the GPS pot, but then it disappeared, so here's a new pot to stir

Some of my more interesting rides have been coming home after getting lost. Besides setting it to avoid highways, set it to "shortest distance". That'll sometimes take you through areas you would have never thought to try.

    Here's a couple of pictures.

    Poor man's backrest

Had an oddball idea the other day for a way to give my back some support without modifying the seat. Instead of a backrest, I created strap that wraps around the top of the handle bar hub and then around my back. I had a couple of 2" wide, adjustable utility belts lying around. They have a...

    Vibration between 5,500 to 6,000 RPM’s

From my research here, it seems to be somewhat common; especially for those who ride 2 up. I had the problem and reported it when I took it in for the 600 mile service. He found that the belt was loose and tightened it. All it really ended up doing was move the vibration point to the mid 4000...

Why does'nt BRP fix the RT turn signal return ?

There's another safety issue to consider: many people will just quit using the signal when they change lanes. There are times when I find I'm better off keeping my attention on surrounding traffic than screwing with the switch.

    My dealer hates these forums...LOL

Just came from my dealer, which just happens to have the same owner as the dealer referenced by the OP. I was there for my 600 mi and I told him about a vibration problem. Because I had spent considerable time researching it here, I added that it sounded like a problem others were having with...

    RideOn rocks!!!

I just opened up my package from RideOn yesterday. Disappointed to find they didn't include the valve core removal tool nor the feed tube even though the order specifically says it's included.
