• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I hosed my Windshield - need advice

Thanks for the advice, I will think about that! You make a good point about the cost of whatever I do to try to fix it. Maybe I should just cut my losses since it kind of sucked anyway. -Tim

I hosed my Windshield - need advice

I must have got too close to that truck that sprays the white lines on the road and as I passed him, it oversprayed my nose cone and my windshield. I tried a bunch of things to get it off but GoofOff was about the only thing that was working but when I got to the Windshield, it turned it all...

Looking to buy a BRP Backrest - Does anyone have one instock????

So is this one of the NEW redesigned BRP backrests or is it one of the defective, recalled models? I have had mine on order since last Fall and they keep telling me they haven't shipped yet. I am curious... -Tim

Looking to buy a BRP Backrest - Does anyone have one instock????

I was browsing through Killboy.com's main page a few days ago and saw a Spyder with a Goldwing backrest and luggage box combo! For the rider it looked nice and comfy with the padded easy-chair looking backrest. I went back yesterday to try and find the picture again and couldn't find it. -Tim

    Misfire from Hindle Exhaust....

I noticed after installing mine that it now needs about 2-3 minutes to really warm up before riding it or it will ride rough. Even after that it really doesn't seem to like the cold (<50 degree f) mornings. Also, when you are engine braking you will get some backfire pops here and there...

    Hindle Sounds Great!

I had my dealer install my Hindle exhaust when my Spyder was in for it's 600 mile service day before yesterday and was pleasantly surprised when I picked it up last night! The exhaust sounds awesome! I was surprised how loud it is compared to my stock M109R exhaust which is pretty boisterous but...

    hindle muffler is comming

I just got a call from my dealer this afternoon that my Hindle was in. I went by after work and picked it up. Looks like the shop manual estimates the installation time at 0.2 hours (12 minutes). I can't wait to put it on this weekend! I heard it last weekend on another Spyder and it sounds much...

    hindle

I just checked and didn't see the link for any sound clips. Do you have a link for that? I heard the Hindle in person last weekend and it sounded very impressive! It's not too loud and has some deep exhaust notes. Much better then stock! -Tim

    clunk when going to first...

I have a clunk when I go from Neutral to First. I have tried holding the clutch in for up to 10 seconds to see if anything spins down and lessens the noise but it makes no difference. I think the unit I test drove did the same thing, it's probably just a characteristic of the bike. -Tim

    Gas

I wasn't sure what to put in it so I broke out the manual and noticed it requires a minimum of 87 octane, so I have been using Regular gas - just filled up my second tank. I would think you would want to use Regular if that's all that the engine requires because it will run cooler and will cost...

Finally got to ride! Have a couple questions...

I just completed my 3rd ride on mine and am just over 100 miles now and also notice a smell but it's probably just some paint burning off or something like that I was thinking. As for the sound, I have decided that my Spyder sounds like a lawn mower. One of the guys at work almost had me...

HID + Fog Lights Requires Special Harness

Turns out I mis-understood the dealers price as it was $115.00, not $150. They also charged me $30 shipping so the total price was $145.00. This is unacceptable and those of us that did not have this extra expense disclosed should be compensated. I paid $1299 for the HIDs plus $399 for the Fog...

HID + Fog Lights Requires Special Harness

My special harness showed up today but when I showed up at the dealer to pick it up 1 hour before closing tonight, they were still finalizing some issues with my Scorpio alarm system and some body panels. The mechanic told me he would definitely have it ready tomorrow by 4pm so I am getting...
