• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Curious for comments on Twisted Sisters ride in Texas?

If you want good scenery and challenging roads all the way, seek out the FM roads from the time you enter Texas until reaching the sisters. Then the extra miles and time will make it all worth while.

My solution to the Bajaron Ultra sway-bar 'clunk'!

Yes. But without a diagram or pictures I still don't have a clue what parts you are talking about as I have never installed one of these.

My solution to the Bajaron Ultra sway-bar 'clunk'!

Would it be possible to get a few clear pictures of the parts (installed) so I can possibly help my friend with this solution? His grandson installed the kit so I have absolutely no knowledge of where/what to look for to attempt a re-tightening of the parts that seem to have been the culprit here.

Anyone else experienced this Thumping noise when turning? Ideas on Cause and/or cure?

I stumbled on a thread in the General Discussion section about the sway bar causing a clunking noise. https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?159987-My-solution-to-the-Bajaron-Ultra-sway-bar-clunk-! I didn't use the term "clunk" in my search but am thinking the problem addressed...

Looking at buying - If you are over 80 y/o and ride a Spyder, raise your hand...

I'm only 70 and still ride two wheelers and the Spyder regularly. However, I have a friend who will be 87 in a couple of weeks and it's pretty rare that he will turn down an offer to go for a ride. He is a little shaky getting on and off but still does it anyway. In fact, he is going to the...

Anyone else experienced this Thumping noise when turning? Ideas on Cause and/or cure?

I have a friend with a '22 RTL that has a very noticeable thumping noise during a sharp turn in either direction. We listened to it carefully yesterday both on and off the RT. It is difficult to even tell where it is coming from and does seem louder during aggressive turns and quieter during...

What does your dealer charge for a rear tire replacement? This much??

I started buying my tires at Walmart; they will not remove the wheels. They charge $14 to mount and balance the front tires. They said they were unable to balance the rear for some reason so only charged me $10 to mount that one. I use Ride-on sealant balancer liquid on all three so even with...

Any info/advice on successfully Tinting Lexan or Polycarbonate?

It's a matter of tastes, I guess. For me, Function over form is the way to go. I guess for some, paying 500 to 700 dollars to look cool makes them happy, but I can find more sensible ways to spend that much money.

Need some screws for Left Combo switch - part number?

Hardware stores like Lowe's may or may not have what you need. Look around your area for specialty stores like Fastenal and take them a sample of what you need. Here where I live, we have a few shops that specialize in fasteners for all of the industrial complexes nearby.

Any info/advice on successfully Tinting Lexan or Polycarbonate?

Honestly, I don't see the point of having a tinted windscreen on a Spyder or bike. I mean, you are looking over it most of the time not through it. In cars it makes sense to help keep the cabin cooler, but on a bike or Spyder, what's the point?

What did you do to get a Twisted Sisters route on your Garmin XT?

Exactly! There are only 5 roads to remember. Starting in Medina take 337 west to Camp Wood, then go north on SR55 until you reach the intersection with FM335 four miles later. Take 335 north to SR41 and take it east for 14 miles where it intersects with FM336. Take that south 28 miles to...

Has anyone tried Different Batteries, like a NOCO 600A Lithium? How is it working?

I put an Odyssey PC680 in 6 months ago. It's working just fine. It does not have quite the CCA of the OEM battery, but I chose the PC680 based on its longevity in my motorcycles. The last one I changed out on the R1200C lasted 7½ years. Comparing that to the last Yuasa that lasted only a...
