• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Touring with the Virus

He is saying and I'm paraphrasing a little because direct word for word translation is never perfect. "Stay at home, the virus is very contagious and it can kill you, it is a massacre in France and Italy."

    Attitude & Motivation

Perhaps one of the most entertaining threads we have had in quite some time. (and my feelings haven't been hurt once although I did have a momentary urge to correct someones misconception about something but it passed quickly).

    Helmet Visor Fog

Going back to the OP's original question, my wife and I both wear modular full face helmets. Over quite a few years we have used a few different makes. Nolan, HJC, Shoei, Schuberth. Several have or had the pin-lock feature but quite honestly we have never used them and we have ridden in some...

    Travel Trailer Camping in Canada

With regard to the bear spray, I believe it is required that it be labeled as 'bear spray'. Pepper spray would be problematic and of course other sprays such as mace are not permissible. I'm assuming you are just kidding about the hand gun but if not, probably not worth it even as an intended...

    Travel Trailer Camping in Canada

Pete, I've been reluctant to respond as I live in south central BC. Prior to the last 16 years we lived in Ontario and I lived in Quebec for my first 24 years. We used to RV via 5th wheel and tent trailer. Also spent a lot of time tent camping but mostly in remote areas. Quetico is a beautiful...

    JUST BEING SNARKY

While we are at pronunciations, can someone explain to me how the name Brett Favre has come to be pronounced Brett Farve ? I know he even says it that way. I think I know why but always have been curious about that.

    JUST BEING SNARKY

I know you really meant propositioned, but accidentally hit the wrong key since a preposition is something else altogether

Battery tender connection-where the heck is it?

My explanation was simply that a Tender or as other like to say "maintainer" is not the same as a trickle charger for the reason given. I was trying to not be too long winded. My bad. I think we are all actually on the same page. See my post 20. Cheers, Gary

Battery tender connection-where the heck is it?

Of course you are correct. I do as do others and tend to use the name Battery Tender when meaning a battery maintainer. I have a Yuasa version as well as a Battery Tender made by Deltran. And yes Deltran makes a few different versions. I've had one made by Deltran that was sold by BMW for one of...

Battery tender connection-where the heck is it?

Perhaps part of it is the terminology that people use. Battery Tenders recognize when the battery needs charging and keeps it topped off but stops charging otherwise. If by trickle charger you mean any battery charger that is used to charge a battery and just keeps on charging and never stops on...

    WHAT IF

Would that bowl happen to be made by Caroma? It sure looks a lot like ours way up here in Canada. Ours is made by them and we know it is Australian. Gary
