• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

EASY TO HEAR MUSIC MAKES THE MILES MELT AWAY

Hi All; Just a little endorsement for the Shure SE 215, ear buds. Too many years of industrial noise and truck driving and my hearing is not soo good. This unit is the fourth different one in about 6 years and it works like 32 oz hammer on a 16 penny nail. Highs, bass lows and...

5000 Miles on New Shocks and Tires Report - Very Happy Camper

Hello Neighbor; The RT shocks are stiffer their rebound rate is stiffer and the are designed for more weight. The only way I can describe the difference between the RS Shock is a full sized circa 1950' s Chevy hauling ass around a corner squeling and leaning and the RT Shock at a #4...

5000 Miles on New Shocks and Tires Report - Very Happy Camper

Alive and Well, Thank You. All of last summer I was fabricating a tow behind utility trailer. It's 50 inches wide and 48 inches long in the box with a 36 inch hinged beaver tail that gives me 7 feet to stretch out the tent with removable slat rails. It has storage compartments big...

5000 Miles on New Shocks and Tires Report - Very Happy Camper

So far the wear is even all the way across. I doubt that outside of a bad alignment that I will get any uneven ware. Car tires have different compounding and wall stiffness so I doubt there will be uneven wear at any time aside from overinflation. I currently run 17-18 PSI on the...

5000 Miles on New Shocks and Tires Report - Very Happy Camper

Hi All; A little over 5000 miles ago I installed 2011 RT front shocks on my RS. I set the shocks to the number 4 setting and away I rode. I also bought 2ea 185/70-14 Michelin Hydroedge tires and a 215/60-15 Hydroedge for the rear. I removed the 2 front fenders to modify them for the...

    Taller and Wider Tires

A number of reasons They work and don't trip the nanny mode. I'm averaging 31 MPG. And I'm not easy on the throttle. Plus I plan to do some adventuring touring pulling a tent trailer and every fraction of lower frame clearance I gain is to the positive. Plus every MPG at $...

    Taller and wider tires

With many hours spent in research on tire sizes for front and rear tires I think I came up with a workable combination. Fellow riders came up with Michelin Hydroedge 215/60-15 for the rear running 18 PSI. They went all the way to Alaska without any Nanny problems. So using their...

Something Fiberglass Won't stick to - To help make a mold

Checked with a Glass expert 35 years of show corvettes. He said that there is never a perfect mold, all of them have to be tweeked to perfection. Air bubles, small seams ect. That's why he uses skimming bondo on almost all of his molds for the "Perfect" finish. If he does it, it...
