• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    San Antonio Dealers

Woods has replaced my throttle body, they have replaced my turn signal cluster, they have performed my 600 mile service, and they took me in with no appointment to fix my HID headlight that worked intermittently. All of the maintenance was same day unless I dropped it off on the weekend to...

    San Antonio Dealers

I think Kent is probably the largest dealer in the area. When I was looking to buy my Spyder, I visited them to talk with a salesman and then called to talk to a service tech. The salesman was nice, but he tried the usual "Limited" is in short supply tactics and wouldn't budge on price. The...

    Custom Dynamics!!! WHY!

I have purchased several lighting solutions for my Spyder from Custom Dynamics and their products are top notch.

    BR-1 has company :(

I looked at South Texas Suzuki when I was shopping for my Spyder. I'm glad that I bought from Woods Cycle Country in New Braunfels instead. The New Braunfels dealer has been great. My Spyder had to get the throttle body replaced. Woods Cycle Country had a new one ordered and shipped from BRP...

??? For those who have added the Elka Shocks and Custom Seats

I have the Kontour Seat and Elkas. I love both, but I'd go with the Elkas first. You can always make temporary adjustments with your seat situation through periodic stops to stretch the legs or purchase some beads, a cushion, or a sheepskin cover to make due for a while. It is hard to "fix"...

    BR1 IS IN TROUBLE

If you know it is the ECM causing the problem, have you called the other BRP shops in the area to see if they have the parts on hand? Sorry that you have been without BR1 for so long. I hope this gets resolved quickly. I definitely understand your concerns about BR1's reliability and maybe...

Installed Capt Jim's Belt Tensioner today...

I owned an HD RoadKing and I know what you mean about the v-twin vibration, but the RT has a harmonic vibration that is different. If it is the belt, like some people have mentioned, I may get the belt tensioner. I get a vibration at about 5500 RPM and it doesn't matter what gear I'm in. Once...

    Battery Tending Idea

I connected a pigtail to the battery under the seat that works double duty. It primarily is used for connecting my battery tender, but it also is used as a power connection for my electric heating vest during winter riding.

    BR1 IS IN TROUBLE

I hope you get BR1 back soon. If this is the dealership south of San Antonio, they are really friendly, but they also appear to be a very small dealership supporting the rural area. I think they have 2 mechanics and only one that works on spyders. I think the dealership changed hands about 2...

    Driving on military base

I agree with what Bruiser said regarding motorcycle riding on a military installation. I'm retired USAF and currently work on Lackland AFB as a govt civilian. When I ride my spyder on base, I need a valid driver's license with motorcycle endorsement, valid insurance and the required safety gear...

Re-thinking the MC after a close call

You have to do what makes you comfortable. Sometimes you have to get out of your comfort zone or you might end up shut in your house and not go anywhere if things get too extreme. My wife was scared to ride with me on my motorcycle and now on my spyder. She was afraid that we would get hit...

    Some HD riders are IDIOTS!!

The guy definitely needs some anger management sessions. I sold my HD RoadKing to buy my spyder. I guess I'm really messed up. :roflblack:

Lamont Ram Ball Attachment to Dash

I did mine similar to yours, but I pulled off the mirrors and the tupperware to work at it from the sides. I didn't need to remove the speaker grills. I did have a problem getting the large flat washer and the nylock nut to stay in place behind the dash until I could get it threaded on the...

    Replacement seat price comparison?

I'm guessing the magnum option will require additional construction in the seating area that accounts for the higher cost. Even though my seat is built to Kontour specs, it still has the shape of the stock seat.

    Replacement seat price comparison?

Wow, the price has jumped up. That is $150 more than I paid last month. Does that include recovering the passenger backrest and the driver backrest or is that quote only for the seat?
