• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Continuing fuel vent fumes, vapors and dripping

Fuel Smell Yep, same problem here. I thought it had something to do with the large BRP Windscreen that I put on for my trips. It seemed to pick up right after that and I thought someone had made a comment on here about the fuel or engine vapors not being pulled back and away from the machine...

    Fueling

Fuel Smell So, might this be my problem why I'm getting a nasty fuel smell coming out of the right side of the engine and blowing all over my pants. Raw Fuel? Just wondering. It's getting worse and worse and I smell like I've been in the garage all day long working on the machine. Biker

Riding Comfort Of Stock Seat & Temperature

We got back from Vintage Motorcycle Days at Mid-Ohio race course last week and I did experience the things you are talking about. The heat is really unbearable lately and it does make your riding much more uncomfortable:gaah:. I too can ride longer when the weather is colder than in the heat...

    Rookie Spyder Rider

Well............I know I'm a bit partial because I bought a yellow Spyder also. I like to be seen cause people try to run over me. I'm not crazy about that. :roflblack: Congratulations to the new Spyder rider. You'll learn a lot of things on this site thanks to a bunch of nice people who...

    Steering Problems

I got a call from the dealer today. He told me that I needed a new steering unit. He called BRP and they told him that the power steering unit is on back order. Not thrilled with that phrase but, what can I do? But I trust my dealer and they have been very good to me. So............as the...

    Steering Problems

Well, I guess it's my turn to vent. I'm a very happy Spyder rider for the past year. Recently after putting 6,000 miles on my ride, I have experienced the steering problem in question. It was sort of a scary experience, I have to say. Although I'm not near ready to throw in the towel and...

    I agree with Lamont

Well said, Lamont. Yes, there is always going to be bitchin' as they say. You can't please everyone. Some people would bitch if you hung them with a brand new rope. So, we have to lighten up a tad. I think the site is well managed. Don't give up the ship. These sites have helped a lot of...

Anyone want to wake up BRP?

I couldn't have said it better myself, Scotty. Yes, this machine isn't perfect by no means but it is a fun machine and it still makes me smile every time I kick it into gear and crack the throttle. I think this machine is still in it's early infinite stages of quirks but, for the most part...

    Dealer Recall Surging Suggestion

I have to agree with you also. Since I had the DPS thingie done it runs a tad rough and sputters at an even throttle pressure and speed. Unless I hammer it, then it goes away for sure. But I can't ride like that all the time. Sounds like these engines are very sensitive to computer upgrades...

    Low oil level

It's funny you brought this subject up. Since I'm still learning about this totally different machine that what I am used to riding, I checked my oil one day and found it down a quart also. Went to dealer, told him my problem and he didn't understand why since it was a new machine. Now this...

    "Do Not Ride" Recall

I took my SE5 into my dealer yesterday with the recall letter also. They will reprogram the steering and we also talked about the computer failing while programing. He also knew about that. When he checked out my VIN number he said there is another recall on the ground wire thingie. He told...

Dynamic Steering System Recall-HAVE IT DONE!

I'm really impressed with your reaction to this fix ZeeBill. I'm hoping mine is the same way. I have noticed that I had to really fight my bars going into a turn. I just thought it was the "Nature of the Beast":spyder: I've got mine scheduled very soon. Glad you told everyone about how great...

    Sent a message to Brp

Sounds like a lot of disgruntled Spyder riders on here. I tend to agree with you on their website. Has anyone ever checked out the Harley Davidson website? There was some work put into that one. Although, I don't own a Harley anymore. I own a Spyder. We have a lot of negative words on here...
