• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need advice/info on Installing battery tender harness?

I know this is an old post, but it was exactly what I needed to see when I was trying to figure out how to get my tender connection into the frunk. (I'm in the slow class.) Thanks for posting and helping me discover what was probably obvious to anyone with a brain. Works great! (This suggestion...

Yuasa Battery Model Number -- a distinction without a difference?

That is correct, and thanks for your input, because it caused me to check something I overlooked. The battery in my Spyder is NOT a YTX24HL-BS as I described, but a YTX24HL, period. Therefore, it must be that the YUAM7250H model number is the factory sealed YTX24HL, and the YUAM6250 is the...

Yuasa Battery Model Number -- a distinction without a difference?

My battery (a Yuasa YTX24HL-BS installed when I had the Spyder in for maintenance 3 years back) gave up the ghost today; no complaint there, as we're building a new home and it's been exposed to the temperature extremes more than usual without tender/maintainer. So I'm looking for another to...

How would you rate your Spyder Dealer?

Coyote Powersports - Boerne, TX (suburban San Antonio) -- a solid 10 of 10. Good sales experience, and Rocky (head mechanic) really knows his stuff -- which is good, because I sure don't. I did a bunch of upgrades at an event through SpyderPops, which was also super (anti-sway bar, lights...

    How to change to miles

Per the manual, it looks like you press and hold the lower button on the display for 2-3 seconds to enter into settings mode, one of which is units, where you would hopefully be able to change from km to miles. P. 24 of the 2019 manual.

Coolest, best vented mesh riding jacket?

I'm also an ATGATT nerd, and I made the shift to Bohn Body Armor this past year. Glad I did. Everything is bigger in Texas, including the heat and humidity, and their mesh shirt/pants combo have handled it nicely. I've been out on humid 90+ temp days this month and was still comfortable. I...

    Being seen

Agree with the others on replacing the horn -- just haven't gotten around to it yet. So people ahead of me can see me: - SpyderPops LED Bumpskid - SpyderPops Spyclops II LED So people behind me can see me: - Brake Free Helmet Light So people anywhere can see me: - SpyderPops Full View Turn...

Power for lighting up BRP badges

Hopefully you'll get some helpful responses other than the only thing that came to mind: "Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqomZQMZQCQ Think it's time for me to call it a day. ("It's a day!")

    Does Anyone Rember StA?

If you can promise me Neighbors Mill Bakery/Cafe will be open when it happens, we might be able to come up for it. Lived in Little Rock for a couple of years pre-Spyder, and wish we could turn back the clock on that. Harrison's a nice town and the ryding as you know is top notch all over...

We are in deep doo doo!

I'm resolved to stay out of any deep discussions of this whole mess for my own sanity's sake, but I did want to toss in a bit of my perhaps optimistic slant on this: there is no way that the reporting is accurate for the early stages of this whole deal. (There's no way the reporting is accurate...

    Turn Signals

Thanks for that tip -- I'm going to have to try it next time on the road, because after 2+ years, I still have to check to make sure I'm not broadcasting "I'm an idiot, I'm an idiot..." after a lane change.:opps:

    Brake Free Production Version

Just a final word from me after a month or so riding with the production version of the Brake Free helmet light. (The quick summary of what it is: a rearward facing light that attaches to your helmet and is triggered by deceleration events -- braking, of course, but also easing off the...

    Helmet Recommendations

As a fellow new-to-riding person when we got our Spyder, I know where you're coming from, and the one thing I would encourage you to do is to pick the best possible helmet for *you* -- you're going to be wearing it a lot, so it needs to be comfortable as well as meeting all of your safety and...
