• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Driving Lights

What ? How are you getting that 6 2 watt LEDs ? From what I remember, watts/volts = amps. 12 watts/12 volts would seem to draw roughly 1 amp. If my memory of Ohn's law is incorrect, I'm sure I will be corrected.

    Possible air leak in airbag

Was all this necessary ? Is all this necessary to replace a leaking air bag ? I have seen the airbag when I replaced the rear tire and had the belt cover off and the lower side cover off the other side. It looked like it could have removed at this stage of disassembly. Did you go to this...

    Grease Job.

Thank You That is the only way I have been able to get to the inner fittings too. Glad to hear someone else does it the same way.

    Newb...first group ride

No anger with Harleys I have no anger toward Harleys or their owners and I would get down on my knees and praise God for a day that I didn't wake up to and go to sleep to exhaust noise from cars, trucks and motorcycles. Would you like to make a guess which of these three is most likely to roar...

    Dealer Won't Install Car Tires

"Jack up the rear wheel ? " You have really understated just how much is involved in removing the rear tire. I am finishing up this project and I was overwhelmed at how much had to come out and be disassembled. Just getting the wheel assembly out required a 36 MM socket and a 36 MM wrench. I...

    Newb...first group ride

Don't sweat it Don't worry about holding anyone up. The only drawback to being at the back of a bunch of Harleys is that none of them have any mufflers and all you hear is exhaust not any music. Maybe consider being the lead motorcycle and leave all that noise behind you. I left the last group...

    What are these holes for?

The Lower Belt guard bolt This would be for the top bolt in the belt guard. The other holes for this would have had bolts with capnuts.

What about Riders 1st motorcycle being a Spyder?

While you are looking... t Custom dynamics makes a quality product. While you are looking at the high mount brake light, look at the front fender lights, the mud flap lights, and the red side lights. I went with the whole set up and am very pleased. Looks great and has worked flawlessly. Plus...

    My new motto...........

Good call Changing your own oil will give you a chance to learn more about your RT and a chance to check over the rest of the items that need to be checked during a service.:riding:

2017 RT battery problems need advise

AGM? AGM stands for absorbed glass mat. This is a very expensive battery and is normally reserved for vehicles that require batteries that can stand frequently deep discharges such as boat inverter or a bass boat trolling motor. The sealed lead acid battery is probably exactly what is in your...

2017 RT battery problems need advise

It all depends I am a firm believer in battery tenders. I keep one on my RT at all times it sits over a few days. Last Labor day, my wife and I went on a day long ride stopping several times. I stopped a few blocks from home to fill up for the next outing and it wouldn't turn over at all. It...

2017 RT battery problems need advise

Replace the battery What you are seeing on a volt meter is "surface voltage". It tells you very little about the real health of your battery. The sealed lead acid battery in your RT is very different from a car battery. The first time that you have to boost it off, drive directly to buy a new...

Dealership said don’t use 8mm spark plug wires

Good Point Ron, Do you use a CB or listen to AM radio on your Spyder ? I anticipate that any form of radio isn't listened to on Ron's Spyder unless it comes from his phone. Ron ? Truth or dare time. Share with all of us.

First Ryde of the Year For Me Today

When in doubt Whenever you think it may be a few days or weeks before your next ride, hook up the battery tender. It's simply going to make sure the battery is charged and that when you hit the start switch, you will be rewarded with a delightful sound.
