• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Are rider floorboards adjustable

Great info, thanks. The seat sounds like my best option right now. I'm a little concerned dropping that much money not knowing if my wife will find it comfortable, or if it will work out. But aside from major surgery I think it sounds like the best remedy. Humph, maybe Ultimate has a return...

    Are rider floorboards adjustable

I bought my wife the 2015 STS and because of her short stature have made a couple minor mods for her. Now she tells me she wants to raise the rider floorboards an inch or so. Are these adjustable? I know the passage ones are, but just glancing over the riders set I see no adjustment. Any info or...

    Rear wheel soot?

I have not noticed much brake dust on the Spyder, but I used to get it bad on a Kia Sportage I used to own. I switched to ceramic brake pads and it eliminated dusting altogether. First I would make absolutely certain your drive belt is tracking correctly, and if it is then I'd switch to...

    New forum feature?

I participate on other forums that use both the "Like" and "Thanks" systems, and one forum that uses a "reputation" system. Every one of those forums have disabled the negative options. My habit on forums that have those choices is to leave a positive response if I find the information...

    New Facebook "Like" button added

I don't use FB either, but I think this is a great idea and addition to the forum. Just my 2 cents.

Need advice from a good Wrench 2010 RS SE5 downshifting issue

Maybe I did over react and for that I apologize. When I hear "take it to a dealer" without an explanation as to why the assumption is that I would not be capable of doing it myself. If someone would have read my original post up top they would see that I mentioned the dealership originally...

Need advice from a good Wrench 2010 RS SE5 downshifting issue

Well, indeed I did take it to the dealer yesterday just hours after I posted my question. They did quickly locate and resolve the problem. If you want to know what it was ... take yours to a dealer when you experience the same issue. What I expected from this forum was a little more knowledge...

Need advice from a good Wrench 2010 RS SE5 downshifting issue

I took the 2010 RS SE5 into the shop for routine maintenance (8,000 miles on it) and when I got it back I noticed that when I downshift it is REALLY rough. Only when it shift from 2 to 1st does it sound normal. All the other gears it sounds like the clutch is not disengaging and is being...

Please describe what a "skin" is.

Thanks. That's kind of what I figured but wanted to confirm.

Please describe what a "skin" is.

These seat skins I see for sell, do they have padding that gives a seat a different profile, or are they only covers that go over the original seat cover? Are they hard to install and do they work well (stay put)? I assume it would not matter if they are for an RS or RT because I just want a...

I have mild cererbral palsy & I walk with crutches

Hi Tonka. I haven't been on the forum in quite a while but I see you are asking about riders with cerebral palsy. I am a member of this forum because I keep my wife's 2010 RS SE5 maintained and we ride together. I ride a Harley and she rides her Can-am. She is 55 years old and has been...

    RS seat question

Thanks coz. It is more comfortable and looks different as well. This got me to thinking that it might be the same seat only it now comes with a different skin. I'm just not sure. I was at the dealership today (after I started this thread) and the service manager told me he'd sell me a take...

    RS seat question

I was at our local dealership today and was checking out the 2012 RS models. I have a 2010 RS SE5 and I noticed that the seat on the 2012 is a much better design then the 2010 I have (I don't know about 2011 because I never seen them). My question is quit simple. Will the seat off a 2012 RS...

    Noise at higher RPM

That is kind of what I needed to hear. The wife and I are fixing to start on a 500 mile round trip later on today, so I will at least know if it is better, worse, or the same by the end of the trip. I'm going to make sure I have phone numbers for road service just in case. Thanks for your...
