• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any Thoughts on Carrying Pepper Gel Spray?

The personal tazers I have seen, there are no wires. I want to be able to stop or slow them down at a distance. I tried a cross draw, but found it to be uncomfortable. I am short and busty.

Any Thoughts on Carrying Pepper Gel Spray?

Doug: Thank you for your reply. You nailed it exactly. Something that I can carry that is less than lethal force. I competed in USPSA for many years, but I have always had concerns about someone getting my gun away from me. I too carry a P238. I am going to look into the Sneaky Pete holster...

Any Thoughts on Carrying Pepper Gel Spray?

I currently have a CC permit here in Minnesota. I have had it for 19 years now. I am thinking of starting to carry Pepper Gel instead of my gun (or both) while riding. My holster is on my right side, same as the throttle. My city has become a war zone since George Floyd. I feel vulnerable...

Looking For Other Riders near Minneapolis?

I am looking for other riders to ride with. I purchased my 2nd Spyder in June of this year. 2016 F3T. I rode a 2012 RT for 8 years, but had to sell it due to my husband's illness. I am now a widow and would like to meet and ride with other Minnesota riders. Mora is a bit far to join their...

    Twin Cities Spyder Riders

I to am looking to ride with others. I picked up my 2nd Spyder in June. I have been riding Spyder's since 2012 when I purchased a RT. Now I have a 2016 F3T. Maybe us Twin City riders could meet up at a restaurant and throw some ideas around for rides. Riding alone is okay, but I am a recent...

Need to know Jacking points using a floor jack?

My husband passed this past February, so I am on my own as far as working on my F3-T. I read the posts, but I am a little confused. I want to check the drive belt for possible damage. The city laid down tar gravel and I couldn't get around it. I drove real slow, but it was fresh and rocks...

Gas cap locking difficulty - any ideas & help?

Gas Cap Part 2 I want to say thank you everyone for your suggestions! I couldn't find any silicone spray, but I did find plenty of WD40. I put some in a little paper cup, used my finger and spread it around the seal a couple times. The cap literally dropped into place!! I was shocked. Thank...

Gas cap locking difficulty - any ideas & help?

Hello all. I picked up my 2016 F3-T yesterday. Drove it 90 miles home. A bit nervous for sure. So different then my 2012 RT. Anyway, I was out today reading the manual and just going over stuff. I unlocked the gas cap just fine, but when I went to close it I couldn't get it to lock. I was...

Advice Please - Want to get back to riding.

I am sure Utah Pete's RT is in wonderful shape, but it's in Utah. It sounds strange, but I need to "feel" the bike. The minute I sat on my old RT I knew I wanted it and I had sat on others. I ended up with a 2016 F3-T. 4100 miles. I am so looking forward to picking it up this Thursday!

Advice Please - Want to get back to riding.

For the first time in 5 years I am feeling alive. I am so looking forward to being in the wind again. In a stroke of luck I ended up with a 2016 F3-T with 4100 miles in all black. Not quite like my old RT, but I am still very excited. Your statement has given me a huge lift to my spirits...

Advice Please - Want to get back to riding.

Hi Saluda. I ended up purchasing a F3-T in black. Used 2016 with 4100 miles. I had a budget in mind and this bike came in the day I went to look at a F3 LTD. The dealer worked the numbers and came in on my budget including taxes and all the other stuff. There were no RT's in MN and cost was a...

Advice Please - Want to get back to riding.

Thanks Jake. I did do a walk around a Ryker today. Quite honestly I just didn't care for it. Coming from a RT background probably makes me jaded a bit. :) I ended up purchasing a 2016 F3 S Special Black with 4000 miles. Fingers crossed! Lori

Advice Please - Want to get back to riding.

Hey T.P. I literally just got back from Caswells. I bought my first Spyder from them. I went to look at a 2017 F3 LTD with 21,000 miles. I sat on it and well, it just didn't speak to me. I didn't like it. The previous owner had stuck velcro strips on it for stuff too. Just as I arrived, a...

Advice Please - Want to get back to riding.

Hello all. It has been quite some time since I posted last. I had to sell my 2012 RT two years ago due to my husband's illness. He passed in February and it's been tough. I am thinking of purchasing another Spyder to try and get myself back. I am 68 now and know I only have a few years of...
