• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So it's my turn... (DPS issues)

DPS-not updated yet--should I????? Yikes, I've got less than 5000 miles on my 2008 Spyder. Due to some health issues I haven't gotten to ride as much as I would like. And, the DPS warranty note is on the top right corner of the desk. After reading through many, but not all, of the DPS...

Thanks for the general consensus and Scotty's diagnostic. I've always been able to get it off--well sometimes Michael helps... I think I am going to go to the parts store and look for a replacement. If any of you have a spec for this, please let me know. Thanks Araignee**

    Gas Cap Spinning

Are any of you experiencing "spinning" of your gas cap. Not every time, but frequently, when I stop to put gas in Spydey I have trouble getting the gas cap off. I just thought it was my general clumsiness--but yesterday my husband took Spydey to work and AHA--he complained that he had trouble...

    Spyder Re-Starting Issues

Have any of you experienced re-starting issues? My Spyder is fine on her first start. But, after I've ridden and parked, I frequently have re-start problems. I turn the key on, wait for the scrolling message, push the button, the temperature info comes up--and I hit the starter button...

    Took my first passenger today

I took my 13 year old grandson for a ride. Lucky for me, he likes hanging out with his grandmother. We took the back curvey roads to Cabellas. What was most fun was the two guys who were lrurking by the Spyder when we came out. I think we were a bit of a jawddropping team. When I asked him...

When was the 1st time you fell in love with machine?

I'm doing research for a spec article that I am writing for Ride Texas (great regional rider mag-btw). When was the first time you fell in love (lust is ok too--but love takes committment) with a machine? My first machine was my daddy's 1947 Triumph Speed Twin. I think I was about 5 years old...

    Handle Bar Lock Mode

Actually, even my inner child , when activated can't do it--and I did read the book (I am a chick, we do that) , never did push down--and even asked the husband. No can do. I think it is the alignment of the pin with the lock mechanism. Will have it checked during 1st service. The photos are...
