• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Shorty windscreen? Is there such a thing?

I have one of the shorter W/S' on my 2016 RTL. I think they are referred to as 'Euro' which comes from European limits on how tall a motorcycle can be. Don't quote me on this. I like it a lot. I feel a reason for riding is the wind in you face and feeling outdoors. I would think BRP would...

New to spyder I have 2 questions

I agree. If the ignition switch was left on the gauges and displays were probably still being powered. That would drain the battery over time.

BRP "Sytstem" resulting in lost customer

"I get that it can be cost prohibitive to stock parts in inventory, but why isn't there a system in place to get that part in a day or two rather than weeks or even months?" This strikes me as a very valid point. I'm in a situation very much like the OP AND in the same city. We have a 50/50...

Gas strut for trunk on the RT

Thanks for the replies. I obviously still have a lot to learn about my toy. I do have Sirius XM but never thought of that because I never use the radio. I bought this RT used. The original owner must have had a expense account and wanted to use it for advertising. He had it covered in...

Gas strut for trunk on the RT

I don't have any rack on my rear trunk lid and had to manually lift it all the way to the fully open spot. So...After reading this thread I bought to replacement from Amazon. It fits perfectly but does not lift the lid much better. It I lift it half way then it will slowly raise it the rest...

Looking for input for Crutch holder for RTS

If you can use forearm crutches, Walk Easy makes folding ones that are very good. They fit in the frunk nicely tucked away until I stop. I bought them on Amazon or eBay, not sure which. A bit pricey but well made.

Parking brake light comes on & brakes lock up - UPDATE!

Voltage?? I haven't had this problem but when I read the thread I immediately thought 'Voltage Problem'. This might be a sign of an aging/weakening battery. IMHO ;)

    2016 RT Heated Grips

I like the wedge idea! "Try to find a small piece of rubber block that you could cut in two and wedge each piece under the ends of the double throw switch. Neatly cut and fit no one would know they are there." I'm going to my 'junk' drawer to look for some pieces to cut and wedge in both ends...

    Rugged Geek ??

Reply from Rugged Geek I sent an inquiry to Rugged Geek and got back the same answer that Peteoz posted. I don't have a Spyder right now and the car I was testing on is a BMW X3 and I'm not about to disconnect the battery on that electronic wizardry. I will try it later on my older Subaru...

    Rugged Geek ??

It's the Rugged Geek This is the very one Lamont sells. I may have bought it from another vendor. I did use the manual. Not much help there. Every demo I've seen uses a dead battery. I'm attempting a trial run before I have a dead battery. So now the ??? Does it need a bad battery in...

    Rugged Geek ??

I did a search but got no good hits so here's my question. I bought this jump pack several months ago and have never needed to use it. Lucky me I guess. I turn it on and the display shows 100% charged. Now I want to do a trial run so I hook it up to my car per the manual and can't get past...

Found a good reason to purchase Lamont's Approved Air Pack...

Got 3 car tires topped up Last week my car tires were all down about 4 psi. Got out the air pack which had been sitting for a couple months. It ran out of power at the end of the 3rd tire. Plugged it in to the A/C and was still dead. Doesn't run directly on the charger. Came back 30 min...

Refused to sell me a tire..........

Try a different Discount Tire Discount mounted car tires on my Spyder twice at 2 different stores. The latter one couldn't balance them because their spindle was too large. Hmmm. I've also had a Discount store refuse to mount car tires on a trailer. I went down the road to the next D-T...

My trailer solution to carry Spyder

I like it! You certainly created a lot of comments here. I had a very similar trailer when I bought my Spyder in 09. I built rails like yours but went all the way to the front so I could load it facing forward. It was tricky loading even facing forward. Luckily the seller had a small hill...
