• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What hiway pegs do you use and why do you like them?

Foot Pegs I first installed foot pegs on my 2011 RT Limited which limited me to one position. Those were replaced with Seal floorboards which are great. Feet can be moved to several positions and are comfortable.

How many came off a Goldwing, BMW or Harley dresser

Previous Cycle I had a H.D. 07 Ultra Classic which I loved but bad knees had me either change to 3 wheels or stop riding. Tried H.D. tri-glide also Victory trike but neither impressed me. 2011 road tested a Spyder RT Limited and bought a new one. Test ride sold itself and never turned back...

    GPS Dealer Updates

I have a 2011 Spyder RT Limited with a Garmin Zumo 660. The dealers listed on the Garmin are outdated. Has anyone gotten an update and where does it come from? Garmin or BRP? This seems critical if your traveling and need a dealer to make repairs. nojoke

    Tachometer Problem

When the weather is warm75-85 degrees and bright sun is shining on the instrument panel when parked it occures. When I start the engine the big analog tach guage stays at 0. The digital tach reading is OK. It takes a long time before the big guage starts working as normal. This only occures in...

    Seal Floorboards

Just wanted to say a few words on the Seal Floorboards for my 2011 RT Limited. Just got them on and what a difference. They allow foot movement for comfort and add a distinct nice look also. John Anderson sure came up with a "better mouse trap". Hats off John!! DMV Wheaton, Il.

    acknowledging other oncoming bikers

Acknowledging other oncoming bikers. If the truth be told most "spyder owners" were previous Harley owners/riders. In our area most passing bikes wave. Especially when you wave first. I think that showes that Spyders are not stuck up or acting like elitists!

Went for a ride in 39 degrees with new suits

Cold Riding My alternative is from 2 wheel days. Joe Rocket jacket with liner, long sleeved shirt under it, jeans, chaps, Cruiser Works boots, gauntlet gloves, and Nolan N-102 helmet all keep me warm as a bug in a rug. Heated grips add icing on the cake. This worked in 32 degrees recently so...

Whats the average age of Spyder Riders?

Average Age As stated you are only as old as you feel. With that said I'm 75 and feel happy to be still riding. I had to shed my 2 wheels for my RT Limited but having fun in a new way.

Are there Mileage Awards for Spyders?

I was wondering if there is mileage awards for Can-Am Spyders like Harley has for miles ridden? Certification by dealers allowing ryders to get patch awards for jackets or vests IE: 1000, 5000, 10000, 20000, etc. . :dontknow:

    What type of GPS?

Bike GPS The Garmin is hands down the best bang for your buck. Had a Zumo 550 on my Ultra Classic which was hard wired. Could take it off and use in car also. Check on the internet for best price. My 2011 RT Limited came with Zumo 660. I believe the Zumo model is made specifically for...

    Good Dealer Feedback

Excellent Dealer My vote goes to Jim Potts Motor Group in Woodstock, Illinois. They are very up to the minute in tech and fair priced. Never a "dog & pony" show but honest and straightfoward in dealing with customers.

    Spyder Dealers

I checked spyder dealers listed on my Garmin 660. I found several were no longer dealers/servicers . Is there any software or way to update this info on Garmin 660 so that it would be current? Sure would be helpful if traveling to have an up to date list.

    Bristol Tap Turnout

Bristol Meeting I will most definitely be there for our monthly meeting. Always look forward to chatting and building support for our group. My spyder needs to stretch it's legs anyway.

My Large Dog Carrier for Spyder RS

Dog Passenger Now how neat is that being able to take your dog along for a ride. And the "doggles" are super cool.
