• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I get a Leg pain after riding the RT for more than half an hour - anyone else? Any solutions?

I ended up with pain in my Groin after “upgrading” to an ultimate seat. It pushed me forward closer to the “tank” and therefore spreading the legs further apart causing groin pain after prolonged riding. I gave the seat 2-300 miles to try it out but had to go back to factory. Otherwise, no pain...

Does anyone know of the amp draw of the stock horn on the RT? - 2012 RT

While you’re at it, install a relay into the frunk pop switch. If it works currently, eventually the actuator load will burn the switch contacts and stop working. The switch is very hard to find and is expensive. This happened to mine. The harness is below the cubby, left side. I used the...

What are the hole sizes for the gauges in the dash of a 2012 RT?

There are speakers there. The audio system uses them to fill in sounds so they aren’t as powerful as fronts. Be sure to check the fade setting is in the middle too. They are 4” or 4.25” factory size. A common upgrade is to replace them with 5.25” 2ohm speakers. You will need to breakout a...

What are the hole sizes for the gauges in the dash of a 2012 RT?

The gauge power is switched. I don’t know how many amps would be available though. You can use 4mm bullet connectors too so as to not have to splice anything. If you want to leave the gauges, there is a switched accessory circuit down by the battery. Sometimes it’s loose, or it may still be...

What are the hole sizes for the gauges in the dash of a 2012 RT?

Congrats on the new to you 2012! I removed my gauges and added oil pressure and voltage gauges. They are 52mm or 2” They fit perfectly. If you plan to add an oil pressure gauge, make sure you mount it remotely with an extension. A grease gun hose works perfectly. The engine vibrations will...

Shifter woes have me stumped... Won't shift up - again! What's my next step?

Does the shifter feel “funny”? The older models are known for the springs to get messed up and the shifter won’t return to center for the next shift. Next time it won’t shift up, try re-centering the shifter. If it shifts, then you'll know. You can take it apart and replace the springs. There...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I opened up my container to check on Woodstock this morning. If it will ever stop snowing, we might get to go for a ride sometime! I have waist deep snow all through my yard and more coming in the forecast. My container is behind the camper and I’ve only made a foot path so far. Still have a...

Should I get a 2014 now, or wait and get a newer model? Any 'gotta have' features?

I’m in the same boat. We did purchase a 2013 with 27,000 miles and a stack of maintenance records. I do all my own work and know my unit inside and out, had to fix a few things like the air compressor and the trunk release. I’m currently teaching my wife how to drive it. We’re up to 31,000...

Has anybody fitted Dual 5” Screens Instead of Analog Gauges to their Spyder? Any advice, suggestions, or concerns?

The airbags are pretty robust. Extremely common for them to leak at the check valve on the compressor, not the bag. I’ve fixed a few myself, most by simply cleaning the check valve or replacing it. It is pictured here on the output of the compressor.

Has anybody fitted Dual 5” Screens Instead of Analog Gauges to their Spyder? Any advice, suggestions, or concerns?

Not sure how you’re making out with your project, but I installed a 7” CarPlay screen and took the gas and temp gauges out and installed engine oil pressure and voltage gauges in their place.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Today I removed the factory fuel and temp gauges so the display would then move to the cluster. I then installed an oil pressure gauge and a battery voltage gauge in the spaces left by removing the analogue gauges. I used 4 mm bullet connectors and a couple spade connectors to plug them into the...

Anyone experienced difficulties with the Gas filler cover on an Ultimate Seat for 2021 RT?

I thought it looked cheap and out of place, like a secondary thought. I like the hidden, clean look of the filler under the seat so I ordered my seat with no filler access.

Ultimate heated seat for the RT, how is it? Worth it?

Steve, the heated seats will be an add on circuit. The seat will have the switches installed in it for power. All you need to do is wire it in. They provide directions how to do this. However, be warned - if you have any considerable height to yourself, the midrider (stock) seat actually...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I bought an Ultimate seat a month and a half ago. I’ve been super excited to get it. I got it Thursday, installed it Friday, and rode it today. I promptly removed the seat and put it back in the box to sell it or toss it. It lifted me up, and pushed me forward. Hated it. Junk. They said it...

    Review of Ultimate Seat

Did you read my post #8, first paragraph, all the way through?? The last sentence. Under that test ride guarantee you posted, the second paragraph, it states that custom or altered seats are exempt. So I cannot return it, simply because I got yellow stitching.
