• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Riding Spyder on gravel roads???

I also recently got lost and ended up on a gravel road with pot holes and wash outs in the mountains with my 2021 RTL. It was too far to turn back, so I had to endure for 7-8 miles on the gravel road. I was worried about rocks getting stuck in the belt grooves, but it never happened. I drove...

Want to install GPS on 2020 RTL, which one to order? What's the difference?

I just bought the one for $539 with the added Harness connector for my 2021 RTL. That one included mounts that can be used on both the Spyder or my Harley. So far, I have only used the connector wire from the GPS to the connector wire in the glove box. It powers the GPS up when ignition is...

When and where was the first time you rode a Can-Am tryke ??

I am not 80. I am Sweet 16 with 64 years of experience! I was still cautiously riding my 2002 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic that I had bought new in California. I had moved to Virginia Jan. 2011, and had discovered the Blue Ridge Parkway, a Biker’s dream! But at age 70, the 2 wheeler was getting...

New tire - should I grease the front pulley at 26k?

The front sprocket on my 2016 RTL failed completely at 21,000, and was replaced by the original Dealer. It failed completely again at 32,000 miles because of a lousy job by Dealer. A different Dealer replaced it again under Warrantee. BRP granted it being covered under Warrantee both times, plus...

Anyone received their 2022 Spyder or news on Delivery, Delays, & Omissions?

I traded in my Black 2016 RT Limited yesterday for a 2021 Blue RT Limited with only 191 miles on it. And I put 25 of those miles test driving it. I wasn’t looking to trade, as my 2016 was running great, but I took it in for an Oil change a week ago, and was offered a test drive on the new 2021...

    How old are you?

I will be 80 in 6 months. I still ride my Spyder a hundred mile cruise just about year around, as long as it’s 50 degrees or over and not raining. I have 56,000 miles on my 2016 RTL and had 55,000 on my 2012 when I traded it for the 2016. I still ride my 2009 Harley Heritage Classic, and have...

Info on redesigned Spyder white front drive sprocket?

The new Sprocket with white paint, is obviously just not paint. I held one in my hands while at my Dealer, and it looks like Ceramic, or some thing hard. Also, the Splines looked much grayer in color, than usual, almost as if they had been electroplated with a coating of Lead, or if not Lead...

Recommend a replacement for the stock rear tire?

#5 for Altimax on my 2016 RTL.

    question about the majic mirrors

I just installed the 3 Magnet set on my 2016 RTL last week. My top plastic clip was broken on my left mirror, and I had used an aluminum clip, but that also broke. Also, the bottom wire clips were all bent out of shape, and both mirrors were vibrating. So I finally bit the bullet, and bought the...

    Why get a motorcycle?

I just turned 78, and still ride my Harley Heritage Classic. I also ride my 2016 Spyder RT. Of course, I am much less tired after a hundred mile cruise on the Spyder than on the Harley, but the Harley brings a bigger adrenaline rush. But what’s strange is,......I have an extreme Vertigo balance...

Which rear tire size for 2017 RTL

FWIW,....I just replaced my Altimax RT 215/60 R15 on my 2016 RTL with another new one, exactly the same, a few days ago. It was the 1st time I had tried the Altimax RT 215/60 R15, and I had 17,000 on the tire, so am satisfied. I ran 20 psi in it, after experimenting with 16-28 psi, and settled...

Belt tensioner Roller failed, ruined my belt.

To be fair, all experiences ”should” be shared, in order to choose who’s Dampener to install and use, if any. As I recently posted on this thread, after seeing the photo of the damaged Belt, by a failed RR Roller, I removed my RR Dampener from my RT Limited. As I posted, the Roller still rolled...

2019 RT Left Mirror loose and shaking.

This is normal for the mirrors, because of either the top plastic latch tab breaking when removing the mirror, or the metal wire tabs in the bottom 2 mirror locks either not locking properly, or getting loose, both of my mirrors are loose, so what I do is cut a half inch end of 1/4” gas hose...

Belt tensioner Roller failed, ruined my belt.

Sounds like the same mileage that the rear OEM Kenda Tire needs changing, with cord showing in the center. So, Oil and Filter, Dampener and rear tire every 10,000 miles should become “ normal” Service. 007James

Belt tensioner Roller failed, ruined my belt.

This was obviously a challenge to my wrenching speed. My Rebuttal is,...don’t judge with out .......... 1) hopefully living until your almost 78 , and trying to remove all of the Panels, and Tupperware from an RT Limited to get to the Dampener. 2) searching for the correct Torx drivers...
