• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Which Truck?

Am looking to get a new pickup truck that I could put my 2012 SE5 RTS into the bed of the truck, any suggestion?

Light truck beds are 4' between the wheel wells.

Thats a standard to load a sheet of plywood.

Spyders are 5' plus wide.

MY TRUCK

Probably not your answer but,.....when my car died I bought a 2003 Toyt Tacoma. Took off the bed ( which I sold for $1200 ) and made a flatbed frame which I covered with plywood. I added air bags ( from AIR-LIFT $ 200 ) to compensate for the extra weight. Spyder rides facing forward so windshield is not an issue........Mike

spyder in pick up

Proper name is Ameri-Deck not Ameri-Lift.....Spyder is 62.5" wide, so this deck lifts over end gate opening and settles into box above wheel wells(trike still sits within box). Full size trucks( above wheel wells )are at least 64" wide.

The trick to lifting your Spyder up to that height in a pickup?
Having the pickup properly configured to safely handle the load...
If it's got a Heavy-Duty package of some sort... (HD springs, axles, lower gearing, etc...), you should be okay...
I have heard that Ford has a package that is pretty much designed for those campers that you stuff into the truck bed...

Slide in campers, had one for years we used in our F150. Towed our ATVs in a trailer behind. Never an issue. :)

please sir, may we see some pictures :bowdown:

Good luck! I would think that putting the Spyder on a trailer and towing it would be a whole lot easier and less expensive. Just my $.02!:spyder:
