• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP @ major motorcycle events

MD, they are at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. They setup yesterday, demo rides start today. I believe they wrap up midday Saturday and head to the next event, based on a conversation with the setup crew, PA maybe? NHMS is ramping up their presence at Bike Week with racing events and I saw a few manufacturers (HD, Victory, California Sidecar and Trike ...) there with Can-Am.

I'm headed there shortly to see if they will do demo rides in the rain, supposed to be showers off/on all day.

Can-Am is doing Demo Rides in the rain! I arrived about 1PM, took the RT-S for a ride, then the F3-S. The RT-S was excellent with the wind protection, electric adjustable windshield and the heated grips were very welcome on this raw day with temps around 60F. Interestingly, the bike started beeping and went into Limp Mode near the beginning of the ride and wouldn't rev over about 2500 rpm. I pulled over and put the hazards on which caused the ride leader to pull the group over. I explained what happened to the ride leader, and that I had read about this happening to others here on this forum. We shut the bike down, started it back up, it went into normal mode and ran fine for the rest of the ride.

I was pleasantly surprised at the excellent lower body wind protection of the F3-S, the comfortable riding position and the sportier, tighter more taunt feel to the bike. I was expecting more of a cruiser feel, but the F3-S is a sweet machine! Here's a pic of me on the RT-S in my favorite color:

BRP Demo Ride in Chattanooga today at White's Cycles on Hwy 58!
Wow, I used to live on Champion Rd off of HWY 58 back in 1974 & 1975. Don't remember any motorcycle shops but my friend used to work at a Goodyear Tire store on HWY 58. Haven't been back. Maybe I need to take a ride to Tenn. and see how it has changed.

Did they have anything other than the demo equipment.. gear for sale.. etc?

Did they have anything other than the demo equipment to test ride.. like gear for sale.. etc?

brp doesn't bring gear with them to sell. that is solely up to their dealers. the demo truck, is the demo truck only. as to whether there were dealers there carrying the can am gear, i can't respond to that. at americade brp was right in the center of all the action. all the demo rides left from the same location.

If they want to compete.. they aren't getting it..

If they want to compete.. they aren't getting it..

Never mind the fact that their gear and add ons are priced insanely high..

Their go to market strategy sux.. IMHO..

As Spydaman60 said, the Can-Am Truck was there with Demo Rides only. I've seen gear at Freedom Cycle in Concord. Here are some pics of a Demo Ride that was headed out in the rain when I arrived:
