• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi,
I ordered my Magnesium black F3S on 12 September 2014.
Today I picked up it up, the first one sold in Australia. Insurance companies did not even have it on their computers.
I ordered all the touring escape package and have all the bits at home for me to install (except) saddlebags (yahoo some toys to fit).
I also have BRP USB and 12 v power plugs, the internal bags for the saddlebags (they are pretty small) and heated hand grips.
As you can see it was raining. Will post a better photo when I fit all the goodies.
I have the NSW (Australia) registration Plate Black and magnesium F3S.

I had never owned or ridden a spyder before today ---- so it was super special even in the rain.
I now feel part of the fraternity.

Its home

Hi,
BRP Australia confirmed I got the first one in Australia.
I have put most of the bits on it towards a full touring escape pack. A few items were NOT easy to put on PROPERLY I think some dealers may take a few short cuts as I see a few threads that point towards dealers not fitting thing properly. If you want to know more ask me.

Like the rest of the world I have to wait for the saddlebags. I have chrome wheels and few more extras to go on. I put the obligatory spider decal on the front until I decide on a paint scheme.
Note that the Australian version gets a longer exhaust. It is huge (note also different brackets). The longer chrome one does not meet our design rules but I am getting one anyway.

I love it, FUN! fun! and more funner than I imagined - - - first Spyder I have ever ridden/owned. 150 klms and still looking for a front brake. Well worth the 9 month wait.
Bikes may have to go on the battery chargers for a while.
