• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What will happen

As long as we have people with your ingenuity with the doggie carriers, there will always be something to share/discuss/kick around.

The pursuit of knowledge will never stop.

Just imagine... the 2013s will not only be removed from the 'not recommended' list but may indeed end up being the significant upgrade from from earlier models as they were intended to be.

Yea, just imagine.....

 That's true...
They DO have the better brakes and suspension...
In time; they may prove to be the best of the 998s!

I think that there are a fair number of '13 owners who do not think, or a skeptical that, the "FIX' as dictated by the NHTSA is going to completely solve the inherant design flaw. That leaves lots of fodder for continued discussion

Why shouldn't we, when we have the same problems. I would love a heat fix also. I completely eliminated my evap canister but would still love a heat reduction especially from around the gas tank.

all the 10, 11 & 12 owners will be on complaining that they want an upgrade like the 13's

According the the close out report from the NHTSA, the number of 2010 thru 2012 MY complaints about fuel fumes and fires was insignificant compared to the complaints with the 2013 model. This is why they closed the case with BRP recalling only the 2013s. At this point, it will require significant numbers of 2010 thru 2012 model owners filing complaints with the NHTSA to get a new but related investigation opened. Its unlikely that BRP will do much with these older models unless the NHTSA forces the issue.

:agree: You have to remember that there's the heat that melts components underneath the Bodywork... :yikes:
...And there's the heat that makes you feel uncomfortable...

NHTSA (and BRP), have little concern for the latter.
