• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dull and matted is the current style for motorcycle jackets, this is one trend I hope will go away soon. I recently bought a new jacket and would liven it up a bit. Not too shinny, but just a bit so it does not look old and dull.

If you are talking smooth leather (not suede), Lexol Leather Conditioner is the best all around one. Will soften, protect, and help to preserve the leather. Will also liven up the look. NOT for use on NATURAL colored leather--will make dark spots.

The usual black/brown leather jackets are fine with Lexol use. My leather jackets get at least a yearly treatment. Have two from the 1980's and they still look like new.

:agree: Lexol is good stuff for cow hides!

I have a Brooks jacket I bought in 1981, every 3 months or so, I'd saddle soap it, rub it with mink oil or bear grease, and put it in the oven at about 150 degrees for half an hour or so, it's 34 years old, the lining is pretty worn, but the shell still looks good.
