ANYBODY COME ACROSS THIS PROBLEM

took girl spyder out last night to test out new shield and nmn hid's it happened once before to her ....went to start press the mode button on left handle bar and it wouldnt go off ...last night i was pulling out of gas station and it came on while driving i pressed handlebar mode button and it went off ..... anybody????

tatt2r, Can't say I've ever had that problem with the handle bar mode sw, but.............we all want to hear the review on the new windshield........

Mine has done it once or twice where it seemed to come back on, but it has never caused a problem and always reset when I re-hit the mode button again. :dontknow:

I have had this happen also 4 or 5 times so far :spyder:running message thingy scrolling bye the way never read the card and never will.I slide it out and rest my donut on top of it :ani29:

i had problem with the M and S buttons sticking and was giving me scrolling message. i took to dealer and the installed new buttons but no problem with button on handlebars. hope this helps?

Silicone spray works on the buttons on the dash. It might be worth a try on the handlebar switch.

Check to make sure your console buttons are not stuck. i had a dealer tell me that is a common problem. He even suggested only using the handle bar one. Good luck

Yup, same problem here. On my Spyder the mode button on the handle bar does not disable the scrolling msg 90% of the time. And I never ride in the rain. So now I just use the one on the console (one by stand thought I had a push-to-start ignition).

I had this problem a half dozen times right after start-up. I only use the handlebar mode button. When scrolling returns it does not affect operation of the motorcycle. It seems like the problem is in the computer.

Not sure why folks wouldn't have the dealer address this under warranty. It should be covered.
