There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I'M ON THE 'KENDA TIRE' WEBSITE; http://bicycle.kendatire.com/en-us/ AND THEY DON'T EVEN LIST THE TIRES THEY MAKE FOR CAN AM...... when i plug in 165/55R15, it states: NO TIRE RESULTS FOUND FOR THIS SEARCH granted, that is under AUTOMOTIVE.... but when i plug in for motorcycle tires, there's just NOTHING at all that comes up for the SPYD3R's.....
what kind'a cheapo outfit are then.....?
what i'm interested in, is the: DIA. & WIDTH... does any1 know what that is...?

HERE'S WHY

If the tires were sold in the open marketplace they would have to be competitively priced...........You must already have noticed that they aren't ....They can ONLY be sold through an Authorized Can-am Stealer at the totally Rip-off prices they can command .....BECAUSE....BRP says they are the ONLY tire you should put on your Spyder........This is a MONOPOLY .....$125 + for something that is little better than a wheelbarrow tire ....give me a break................I recently bought 185/55-15 Toyo T1r , a " V " rated tire for $57.00..................OK off the soapbox :dontknow::roflblack::roflblack:.......Mike

The Can Am Spyder is the only vehicle that is currently using that size and type of tire form them.
They know where their market is: dealerships!
There's no need for them to mass-market the tires...

In the 2 wheel and atv world Kenda is actually pretty well known for good tires. Overall, I'm very happy with my stock kenda spyder tires.

I've never had any trouble with the front tires...
I just feel that the rear tire tends to wear out too quickly; that's all! :D

The rear tire sucks. :gaah: Plain and simple. And the stealers know most sheep will buy the CRAPENDA at whatever price BRP designates. :yikes: BRP can fund the recall for the heat problem with the excess profit from tire sales. :hun: There are much better tire alternatives out there. :ohyea: Tom :spyder:

How long do you expect tires to last? We are lucky to get 5k on 2 wheels and I'm approaching 13k on my spyder Kenda with good tread remaining.
Remember, tread life and grip typically don't compliment each other.

Not every Can Am dealer is a "stealer" and not every Spyder Ryder that chooses to purchase an OEM tire is "sheep". Using the great information available here, we all can make INFORMED decisions.

On my first Kenda I got 18,000 miles; that was the original on my 2008 purchased new. I have just over 10,000 now, and the dealer said I have at least another 2k. Based on its wear, and when I purchased it, it's the one with the softer compound. To the person who said or implied those that purchase kendas are sheep, isn't it great to act like a tough guy, and name call over the Internet?

Centurion, I didn't notice your comment before I posted.

I'm for sure no "sheep", actually quite the opposite, and will likely buy another Kenda when the time comes.

Thus far I have approx 9,400 on my stock kenda tires, both front and rear tires look like new. Dealer commented they are probably the better compound ones and are wearing well. With all the pros and cons floating around on here about tires, I may stick with the Kendas if these do well, also looking at yokahoma depending on what comes out about them. At least my dealer will install whatever I bring in as long as it meets size requirements.

that's bull ship... my Honda GoldWing regularly went 30,000 on rear tires (Bridgestone or Michelin) ... fronts only changed every other time... never experienced hydro planing or back tire breaking loose in wet conditions....... and a rear tire only cost $130.00 for a 4 ply steel belted tire...

IMHO --- KENDA = junk

Typical goldwing owner....the laws of physics that apply to everyone else don't apply in goldwing land.....[emoji57]

on my wing i got 13k on the factory dunlaps, as far as kenda only selling the tires to brp leads me to believe there is something fishy going on.

I did own 3 - GoldWings and put nearly 200,000 miles on them... so i am not naïve about tire wear, but evidently you are missing the point... the weight on a GoldWing is on TWO WHEELS not 3 as a Spyder is .. you are denying facts or maybe you are not able to comprehend .. so stick you head back in the sand...

Kenda

I have a little over 11,000 on my rear Kenda and probably have another 2000 to go. Now that's really short of automobile tires but I've got to think a distribution of the load, cornering, etc. has a great deal to do with wear as does inflation. I've seen less than 20k on automobile tires also come to think of it.
