• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

About pulling the plug or what?

I switched from 2 to 3 wheels over a year ago (left AK amputation long time ago).
Well, the '11 Spyder RS-S SE5 was the ticket. Rode it several long trips, 1-2 k miles each.
About 6 weeks ago, preparing for a 2k trip, it went to "Limp mode."
ABS Fault
VSS Fault
Check DPS
Took it home and pulled codes --- "no active codes"
After about ~5 miles later it went back to limp.
Pulled codes while engine light was blinking:
C0044
P2545
U0122
Took it to the local dealer (Team Mancuso Powersports SW) .
6 weeks later, they still have no clue, other than there must be s a wiring problem.
All that @ $99/ hr.
I asked them to give me a trade-in for a F 3, but the can't figure what to give me for my RS.
What to do?

Electrical.

Replace battery or make absolutely certain it passes all tests, not just a check to see if it throws more than 12 volts.

Well, I did find this thread using the search on the site:

Do you keep your foot on the brake without pressing it when you ride? That can cause merry havoc with the electronics.

Found this as well. Might be a bad sensor:

Bummer..!!

You may need a second opinion..:banghead: or another dealer. With the codes givin and assuming they have the buds system they should be able to clear things up. Many things trigger other codes but the y can clear them and see which return if any...

Battery, lights, fruses, BLS, all have been tested and passed.
No brake pedal riding.
Tech is convinced its an electrical wiring/connector problem.
Second opinion is hard to come by. Only dealer in town with 4 locations.

.

Was the Battery actually load-tested? :dontknow:
At fours yeas old; it may very well have seen much better days...
No doubt; this is an electrical problem; let's check off the simplest things first!

south couldn't fix mine but Mancuso north did

Google all the codes. The code system is pretty much universal.
But, if the dealer can't connect BUDS and know what to do, don't waste your time and money with them.

Conclusion

Called earlier this week and left a message for the tech that I know there is a bad battery ground connection (ground post under the seat next to the rear fuse box). Nut in the back turns and I could not re-tighten it. Did this a year ago.
Called back yesterday to find the message was not passed on. This time I got the right guy and informed him of what I know.
They called me back 2 hrs later and told me they found the problem: a broken wire in the brake system. They will charge me for 6 hrs labor (@ $ 99/ ).
Mhhh. What a coincidence.
Well, at least it's fixed.
Thanks for all your input, especially the advise of checking for poor battery/connections.

If ur warranty has expired, they do offer 1-3yr used bike warranty.
I got a quote on Friday as I was picking up my bike. I didn't get the details.
