• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 bumpskid

so for anyone who has the bumpskid installed on their F3 -- does yours also go so far away from the body on the sides? My RT bump skid didn't do this. My husband thinks SpyderPops sent me the wrong bumpskid. :gaah:

it's right

Or... they're all wrong! I just went hunting for a picture of someone else's installed and found an old thread with a picture and it's the same. I'm not crazy about it when the lights are off, but it looks good with the lights on. So much drama at our house this week over the bump skid. At every turn my husband wanted me to return it because 1) it's got the groove in the bottom of it that will catch on rocks and/or scoop up samples of road kill and 2) it sticks out too far on the sides. He finally installed it last night and I hope this is the last I hear about it. I have to admit that I'm not crazy about either of those things, but I can live with them for now. I hope he just keeps his mouth shut about it for awhile cuz I'm sick of hearing about it.

Whew! Guess I needed to vent.

Hang in there. The bumpskid is a great accessory and in a couple weeks, I cannot believe how many compliments I have received. Have not heard anything bad about the bumpskid.

Mine sticks out, and am thinking that is on purpose so we don't hit the nose of the :spyder2:.

I expect it to stick out in the front (it does, slightly) it's the stupid looking "wings" on the sides where it flares out so far away from the body that neither of us is crazy about. Don was convinced that they'd sent us an RT bumpskid because it flares out so far.

They are downforce wings like in Formula 1 cars!! Haha - at least that's what I think!! My bumpskid on my ST protrudes even further!!

Looking sharp...!!

Don't know about RT's but on all GS RS RSS and ST's they have wing tips. That looks really nice..:2thumbs:

wow!

I didn't realize they'd changed. My 2012 RT bumpskid didn't have those. I see it REALLY is a wing on the picture above. I'll show it to him and shut him up

We're going on a charity poker run tomorrow and there's a car/bike show at the end point. It's only going to be the second time for me riding the F3 in a group with people I don't know, so it'll be interesting to see what kind of reaction I get.

Even though the wings aren't my favorite thing, I LOVE the bumpskid lit up, the lights are a great addition to the bumpskid, and even Don liked it that way. I think that's the only reason he installed it -- he did a temporary connection to it before he did any drilling, and said "ok, I like that, I guess I'll install it."

Mine sticks out some on my 14 RTL. Really glad that I installed it. The other day I tried it out by accident. :banghead:Would not want to see what would have happened without it.
