• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Owner and observations

Thanks, lots of information to go with. I have ordered the sway bar and hope to install it this weekend. going to play with the air shocks to see what kind of difference it makes on the ride.

Seems like you lean forward on the seat rather than sitting in to it. I am considering having a few inches shaved to lower it down, looks like there is enough foam to do that.

A few additional thoughts.....

The addition of the SpyderPops blocker combined with floorboards that direct heat down to the pavement eliminated any 'hot foot' problem on my 2012.

See how the board flips up in front, fitting into the lower vent so that all the heat goes away from the rider.

Also the addition of a custom seat is expensive but in my mind very worthwhile.

The addition of my Ultimate seat may be the best investment I have made on the Spyder. It turned 90 minute rides into four-hour rides. Here is a shot showing the depth from front to back. Mine is ostrich trimmed but you don't have to be that extravagant.

Make sure and do the upgraded heim joints when you do the sway bar. The OEM ones can break easily... Especially with the stronger sway bar installed.
