There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Rear wheel balance

Any new F3 owners found their wheel to be out of balance? Does 12 weights seem like a lot?

thanks for your help

I have ridden 3000 miles in 6 weeks and see no problem.. Actually I am surprised at how little tire wear I have. I have expected the rear tire only to last 5 or 6000 considering the temptation to accelerate rapidly....

Its pretty typical for the junk Kenda tire that comes on the bike. Mine had 14. New Yokohama needed 2.

Dyna beads

Has anyone used dyna beads in their tires to balance them. I have them in the tires on my v-rod and have to say I really like the ride I get from it. It can be a pain to put the beads in but no weights on the wheel rim, etc. once it's done.

Little checking..!!

seems they are not mounting the tires correctly. The line up marks, which should line up with the valve stem are way off. I had 6 weights and had a new kenda installed with the marks at the stem and no change in balancing weights. All weights removed set on spin balancer and sam amount in almost the same place...if your off you will notice it...

I also had the Dyna Beads in my Victory Cross Roads. I have to say the ride was VERY smooth. I know there are a lot of opinions good/bad on these but I'd be curious to see what they would do for the F3.

I used them in my goldwing and still do in my wife's bike... Some say snake oil but ip they do work IMHO....

I've used the Dyna Beads in my motorcycles with no issues. I don't believe they are meant for flat across car type tires though.

Replaced rear with a Michelin (sp?) Hydroedge last week. Noticed that there were no weights when we got back to the house. Called the shop and they said "We dyna bead everything". First time I have used them and I must say they seem to work in this case.

Previous tire had twelve weights. This one is perfectly balanced with no weights attached.

Made a believer out of me.
