• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It may be pricy but got to set on a F-3 with one on today and it is out of his world in comfort. So long story short we have narrowed
down our search on F3's. We are getting a F3S pearl white it is the dealers demo. 800 KM on it. Blue ridge windshield, heated grips
and it has the shamrock wheels. A couple of other goodies the salesman added. Oh almost forgot the detachable backrest. So after
waiting years I will finally be a Spyder owner and Lover. Bob Thanks for all the information and entertainment on this forum.

That's great to hear! Mine is being installed on Tuesday. Can't wait to feel the comfort. The passenger backrest, for me, has been pushed out on order even later.

Congrats on your F3! The shamrock wheels look great in the promo photos. Send some pics when you can.

Congrats!

Congrats!!!
I have about 1000 miles on mine now. I can't get enough of it.
I have the passenger backrest. However, I can't see how someone can fit on the passenger seat with both backrests installed. It looks as thought the driver's backrest would be in the crotch of the passenger and be very uncomfortable.

Anyone have pics of an adult passenger sitting on the bike with both backrests in place?

Have any of you tried the BRP passenger backrest and Lamonster's prototype? I'm very interested in hearing from someone that has tried both and can compare them (comfort, support, looks, etc).

I'm trying to decide which is the best option for me. I already bought the passenger shortrail but my wife wants more support than it provides.

Don't want to make you decision even tougher but SmoothSpyder.com will have an adjustable/convertible backrest available soon. I got to play with it at BikeWeek in Daytona and canceled the BRP model I had on backorder. It can be used for the driver with no passenger or for the passenger. Lots of adjustments and very comfortable. Waiting patiently (NOT) for Jim to have them ready to sell.
