• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello, This is my first post here and I have a question. My wife and I are going to buy a Spyder, but not sure which one. One is a new 2015 RT-S or a 2014 RT-S used buy the dealerships owner. It has 4000 kms on it. What would a realistc price be for the used bike ? Also I am from Canada eh:2thumbs:

i just piked up a new 2014 RTS SE6 0 miles out of the box $21500 out the door

Since every dealer has their own overhead costs to deal with; it's impossible to really tell you what a good price is.
Find yourself a dealer that you trust to do the service work in the way that it should be done, and then strike the deal with them.
It's the service AFTER the sale that'll keep you happy! nojoke

Don't be afraid to travel a bit to save money. I called 8 dealers within 250 miles to get the best deal!

Problem is that there are 7 dealers in my province and they are all owned by the same company. Oh and the province is over 250000 square miles. :joke:

Luvchunk59,
I know what you mean. We have 1 dealer 85 km away and they have 2 satellite stores. Otherwise I have to go to the coast or Alberta. In both cases just not workable. They kind of have you by the :cus: . Our Canadian dealers are not that big on deals, out here anyway.
I think they should treat 4,000 km as used but you will get full warranty. If they aren't willing to take anything off then go 2015. By the way, is there a rebate on 2014's from BRP that would make it better for you? If you do go with the 2014, try getting them to put a new rear tire on as part of the deal and see if you can get some freeby's out of them. With 4,000 km your rear tire, it may be about half way through its life. If you are fussy about how the paint looks on your vehicles, look very closely at the 14. I'm willing to bet that with different people riding it and looking at it, there will be lots of little scrapes and swirls in the paint from less than careful people.
Good luck with your purchase and let us know how it turns out and what you get.

Thanks for your help, talked to the dealer today and he said it was his mistake, it was a 2013 model. Didn't feel right so got some other pricing and purchased a new 2014 RT LTD cognac with a two tone brown seat. Will be ready for pick up in a week. I will post pics of our new bike. Looking forward to a great summer of riding. My wife is even going to get her license :gaah:

Glad it all worked out for you. Nice colour choice and congrats. Do you have room for a second one for your wife? ;)
