• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pets in cars (loose)

Can't say I agree with it and I'm almost starting to get used to seeing it without going crazy. Large pets flying all through the vehicle with me wondering how much the driver is watching the road and how much of their view is obscured. Then there are the small pets sitting squarely in the drivers lap being constantly petted.
Today a woman not only had her small dog in her lap but was talking on her cell phone with the other hand. (Not hands free).
We ride pedal bikes and our Spyder and the roads are dangerous enough without this added hazard. Hope the police start writing up this practice before people start getting hurt or worse.
If your pet is secured (which is also safer for the pet) I have no issue with this. Then they are just another passenger. Had to vent, done.

I have to agree. Not a good idea. Pet can get hurt in an accident and can also be a distraction to the driver.

Not trained...

A well trained pet is no problem. But I do agree if a random lap/pocket pet is a hazard in many cases. What about your snake..:yikes:

Full-Body harness, and tethers to 2 anchoring points...
Using the collar and a leash will just result in a snapped neck! nojoke

See it all the time here. Small and medium size dogs sitting in the drivers lap. At times even hanging out of the drivers window. Had an incident here some time ago where the driver drove through the window of a store. Her excuse was her dog fell between her feet and she hit the gas by mistake. She was cited for failure to maintain control and inattentive driving.

My snake? He died some time ago.
