...yes I'm one of you now. I got home about an hour ago, but I should have taken a test ride.

all is ok, nothing to worry about, I forgot about the down shifter in back going around a 90*
curve and hit the + and excellerated past the white line but luckily no one was near.

really had to pull hard on a couple of curves, not really sure how to turn this thing...

I really don't know what to do now, when I got off it wanted to cling to the ceiling and I
cant get it down...

Swat it with a newspaper. Works for me with spiders.

Actually it takes a lot of miles getting used to Spyders, especially if you have ever ridden motorcycles. Make sure you know where all the controls are and how they function. Grip your handlebars loosely. Read the Do's and Do Not's and your manual. Most of all take it easy for awhile and have fun. Then you can drive the wheels off it.

Congrats! Great color. Now you will have space to park the cage under it or lawnmower, ect

...got a 2014 RT-L with thumb shifter....$25,000, got ripped on my f6b but I hadn't had it
but a year, so, that's what happens to anyone who trades before at least two years.

anyway, thanks for asking, I seemed to go around curves in segments, but, the salesman
did tell me I would hate it on the drive home but, you will grow to love it more and more...

I didn't hate it at all coming home so, I think now I can't wait to get out there and drive it again...

Have you ever ridden an ATV? If so, you should understand the the concept of "Rider Active Vehicles". The Spyder is a Rider Active vehicle just like an ATV. If you remember to lean forward and in to the turn side, it will make turning the Spyder so much easier and enjoyable... that is of course only if you remember to slow down to a suitable entry speed for the turn to begin with.

...hey thanks, no, never rode an ATV, 3 or 4 wheeler before....I never went hunting before either
its weird I know, because I live in a hunting fishing and ATV Mecca....but I think I did pretty
well for my first time because I rode a lot of horses when I was younger...

The magic word would be...Rotate... That will get the spyder down. As for handling you do all of the above. Practice will build up your confidence and trust in your fine looking machine....and congrats..:thumbup:

about a motorcycle --- stopping on huge inclines, putting my foot down in sand or on a twig,
roll into a huge gravel lot, backing up etc. everything now, every fear is gone...

:agree: As I have said to many folks when comparing my RT to the GL1800 I rode for 8 years & 53,000 miles. The Spyder has gone a looooooooooooooong way to re-instilling the joy of riding! :yes:

Congrats on the new purchase. You'll settle in in no time. I lean forward and into the bend on mine and I think I push down on the peg with my outside leg from memory. Haven't had my first ride of the year yet so it's been a few months!!#

I think you're taking the whole Spyder concept a bit to literally parking it on the ceiling though ffs

Congrats n I can relate.

The test ride on my new 2013 was a couple loops around the dealership parking lot! once the deal was done it's just a short 45mph run to the 70mph freeway onramp. By the time I got there, I knew I wasn't ready for freeway speeds so I hit the nearest parking lot to regain my composure. I then took the back roads home. Needed to get my sea legs.

Much better now
