high pitch ring

after I hear a high pitch noise,i wait and it doesn't go away.as soon as I turn the key on and u can hear the fuel pump come on it goes away....anybody have any issues like that?

What model? On the 991 it's normal. It's the throttle body. It can last up to 2 hours before it stops.

"Fellow member told me to look on page 55 right hand column of owners manual under the words ALL MODELS****THIS VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH AN ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL(ETC) EACH TIME THE IGNITION SWITCH IS TURNED OFF, THE ETC MOTOR STAYS ENERGIZED FOR 40 MINUTES. THE ETC MOTOR WILL EMIT A HIGH FREQUENCY SOUND DURING THIS PERIOD OF TIME THAT CAN BE HEARD IN A QUIET ENVIRONMENT. THIS IS A NORMAL CHARACTERISTIC OF THE VEHICLE."

I get an annoying high pitch whine but only when my wife is on the back.:roflblack:

Got rid of my high pitch sound 15 years ago :roflblack:
now my dogs ride behind me :yes:
