• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Been searching hi & low

:gaah:IMHO...that thing is OBSCENE .....and it's HUGH to boot ..................plus it may actually be illegal it obstructs so much of your forward vision.,......Mike

Then you didn't read all the thread before you formed your opinion. :lecturef_smilie:

The mirror may look like it is up high on his windshield but it actually is down quite low and does not obstruct his vision.

This bike is ridden in an upright position, look at his later post #22.

IMHO.....if you tried to get your Spyder inspected with that attached to your windshield .........it wouldn't pass....I'm not saying YOU shouldn't like it tho..................Mike

blind spot mirrorws

Thank you Superhubby and 2PAW for your help.
The one from 2PAW is the exact one,I knew we would get the help here on Spyder Lovers

Willie

they are pricey, but to me they are well worth it. Craneing my neck around is getting more and more difficult and these totally eliminate blind spots on both sides of the bike. I am going to Spyderfest and I would be happy to let you sit on my bike and see for yourself how well they work. I am clusy at getting pics onto my posts, so if you would send me an email, I will then send you better pics of this email address [email protected]

whats the difference between these two?

The Amazon sourced mirror is clamped by two thumbscrews. The other is held
by a large self adhesive pad. I wouldn't put either of them high up on a screen
due to a) Vibration (as Dave said ) and b) The screen is not designed to be spot
loaded and it may well break/crack at highway speeds.

Work in progress

I am working on these right now. May or may not work for different people, but I only have about $45 in the mirrors and stuff from the hardware. i have a bout an hour in modifications. Don't have the finished product yet and need to field test.

I found this on the web.

It is a PDF format. Therichardsolodrivingmirror.com Now if you go to the website Richardsolo.com there is all kinds of stuff the site sells but I cannot find the Mirror. Even has a model number: Cycle Model RS511 (on the PDF file). I think it a good idea because of the hight of the mirror keeps your eyes up on the road more. Good luck.
