• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 Recall

RPM. Where would I find that? I just spent about 45 minutes pulling everything apart as noted in the Warranty Bulletin and fixed the issue myself. No big deal, just had to loosen one bolt to pull the slack out of the brake line to line up the two white lines. It was off about an inch and quarter. Only issue is a female nut which is suppose to be sealed to the Tupperware mount for the Right site panel, number 4 in the diagram, fell on the ground when I removed the panel screw out. Had to cement it back since it was pulled through the fastening point. Will see what the dealer can do to fix when we pick up the other F3.

GunDoc,

Go here and enter your VIN # http://can-am.brp.com/spyder/owners/safety/safety-recalls-vin-lookup.html

I put mine in and nothing was stated. I'm curious if your VIN gives you a notice. Can you get a better/higher resolution copy of those pages and send them to me or post them again. I can't really make them out on my end.

Thanks!
Robert

I am assuming that unsold units sitting in dealerships will get this recall done prior to sale. I haven't bought one yet but I'm getting close and would hope this gets fixed before I buy. Good luck to those who have already gotten theirs and hopefully this get rectified before anybody gets hurt.

A prudent and customer oriented dealer should take care of and inspect/fix the unsold units before delivery to the customer.

I am sure there are some dealers out there that will not have a clue, or some that will just blow them out the door. This is one reasons I believe that dealers with a good service reputation should be chosen vs. lowball price dealers. Sometimes, that makes a big difference.

the service manager at my dealer told me that this recall doesn't affect all F3's.... which tells me that they figured it out early in the production run....

Robert, vin brings up only that it is an F3, no recall info.

Ahhh, good to know. But if SPYD3R was told the recall does not effect all F3's, how are they calling just those effected? I do believe when I asked if there were any issues on my F3 when I picked it up, the dealer essentially went to this site and put in my VIN to see if there were any issues.

Thanks,
Robert

Since I am the only F3 customer it was easy. My dealer only ordered two F3's and I bought both...kinda guy I am..lol
