• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Early Spring?

I live at 6500 ft in the Sierra Nevada mountains in Calif.
Have not used the snow blower in4 yrs
Need water badly here in Calif.
HELP
send it here Southern California takes too much
All of the lakes and are low or empty

Have TON'S AND TON'S of snow here, WILL gladly send your way COLLECT. A couple of months at the minimum before even getting a chane to get out on the Spyder...:yikes:

No Robins here but hopefully soon!

We have not started the maple Syrup season yet! Way to much snow in the woods. We need warm days, and cool nights for the sap( from Maple Trees) to start flowing. The people who boil the sap work long hours, take care of the sugar lines that are go directly into the sugar house, and it becomes maple syrup. Deanna
Nothing beats Vermont maple syrup! I like grade B the best for flavor. We used to enjoy the maple syrup with mom's hot raised doughnuts!! Most people don't realize it takes about 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup.

Yea, you are right Nothing beats Vermont Maple Syrup, and I like the medium amber Grade B also for the taste. I would take Vermont Maple Syrup any day! I pour the maple syrup over Ben & Jerry's Vanilla Ice Cream, and the raised donuts, sugar on Snow, ( a pickle or an egg) Deanna

How about homemade donuts with medium amber B maple syrup! Twilling the sugar on a fork / and pulling the fork away slowly. Getting the sugar stuck between the teeth. Maple Cream on toast, or eating it right out of the container.

I wonder the same thing, how many people know what Sugar on snow is. I think the people who grew up in the Northeast would know what sugar on snow is.
P.S. I wont !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :roflblack:
:roflblack::roflblack: :yikes:

Yes, you can do that, that is called sap or drink it out of the bucket, and you can smell the sap boiling ( in the sugar house)

They also have open house on some week-ends when they are boiling sap, and they have a Maple Festival in Vermont ( northern part of the state ???? time, when) Deanna

I do feel your pain we still snow up here also, when I look out the window all I see is snow, snow, snow, snow, snow. but in the weeks ahead the temps are going to be in the 30's 40's 50's according to ACCU weather.com WOHOO!! Deanna

Yea, we do, hopefully we get a gradual warm up, but the rivers here in my area are not open. Deanna
I hope you have a gradual thaw, also. We lived in Groton on 302 and the last quick thaw took out the entire road for a big section and flooded the restaurant below..

Do you remember the name of the restaurant that was on Route 302? ( I think it was the Dugout restaurant)

Yes, me too I hope that we do have a gradual thaw. The rivers still have at least 2 feet of ice on them. Today it was in the 40's, sunny. Lake Champlain last month was completely frozen over. Deanna

I think it was the Dugout, when we lived there it was Puffers Restaurant. I lived less than a mile from there going towards Barre.
Stay safe.
