• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

For you non-Mustang owners....

This is what we Mustang owners feel each time we get behind the wheel....

May I suggest, full screen....head phones....turn it up...

I get a great thrill driving my 05 supercharged Roush mustang, but doesn't even compare to the 06 Supercharged Ram SRT10. Both manuals, and the Mustang gets it off the line every time (drag radials, line lock, and less weight), but when the truck hits 2nd gear, holy heck she screams, reels in the Mustang, passes it no problem.

I never got a chance to run a s/c SRT10 dodge, but I used to love to run across the n/a ones. I know that they were suppose to have 500 hp, but I never believed it. I guess the weight offset the hp. difference. But my zx14 was the fastest thing that I have ever sat on or in. I only had it up to about 120, but that was in 2nd. gear. After that I quite. I am glad I could not afford these fast toys when I was younger. If I had them, I probably wouldn't be here today.

Stock it dynoed 434 to the wheels, but it does weigh over 5000 lbs. Always loved the Lightning too, nice choice!! It has an Eaton s/c right, mines a 3.4 liter Whipple.

I need your 3.4 whipple! I know the bottom end on my stock block 5.4 would not be able to stand the pressure, but it would be a good excuse to do a rebuild. My nephew also has a 2003 lightning. He plans on building it to about 850+ rwhp. Some people are replacing their 5.4's, and upgrading to the 4v, 5.4 from the navigator. My other nephew has a 2013 GT500 with the 4v, 5.8. I would be happy with a simple 650 rwhp on the lightning, and a 550 rwhp on the mustang. Anything above those numbers is pretty much useless on the street unless you have slicks. Before my nephew bought the lightning, he had a 331 in a 86 capri with 750+ hp. It had a turbo and was pretty much useless without slicks. He would ride the streets near Florence, S.C. in search of unsuspecting prey. He came to Raleigh for a dyno day that our mustang club did. I asked some guys to guess it's numbers. They all said 225-250. After strapping it down, it did 690 before spinning on the rollers:yikes:. He had an issue that day and could only get 11 lb. of boost.

Problem w/ all these new hot rods is they weigh so much :banghead:
You my sir, is soo correct. I would really like to have some of todays modern technology and power in my 87 LX 5.0. That was the first new car that I ever purchased. It would be nice to have one of the modern day 5.0's with a s/c installed into my 87 body. That would be 650+ hp in a very light body.
